We lost our 13 year old cat in November 2008. He had been with me since I adopted him as a kitten, living in seven different homes in three different states. To fill the hole in our hearts and to keep our 4.5 year old cat company, we just adopted little Rikki, pictured above, who is just 12 weeks old. The vet where we adopted him warned us that he was a little skittish, but he quickly got over that and now walks with a determined little boy kitty strut. Rikki is the most cuddly, sweet little kitten ever, and I love it when he snuggles up to me and falls asleep in my arms.

I’m glad little Rikki has settled in so well. We can never replace our pets, but we can love new ones equally.
So sorry for your loss. I know how hard that is. I lost my Oscar in 2006 when he was 17 1/2 years old. Rikki is beautiful and I know he loves you and will be happy to help you heal. Many happy years together.
