Adolph was eight weeks old when this picture was taken. His Mother is a feral cat. When the kittens were about four weeks old they started wondering about and Mom couldn’t keep them contained. I rounded all four of them up and raised them until they were old enough to adopt. Adolph is just so cute and cuddly I couldn’t let him go! He makes us laugh every day!

When I saw his sweet little face (before I looked up and saw the name) I thought for sure he must have been named for one of the Three Musketeers. Please consider: D’Artagnan!

I say keep the name for two reasons:
1. It is apt
2. It helps us remember so those bad events will hopefully never happen again.
That is one seriously cute and hilarious-looking cat. The eyes and ears look so surprised. Just love him.

I too was startled and recoiled at the name Adolph but sooner or later we have to come to terms with dark forces. Kind of like in the Harry Potter books about saying the name of He-Who-Must-Must-Not-Be-Named!

That mustache is adorable! Sort of looks like “got milk” in black. Maybe he wants chocolate milk? Forget about changing Adolph’s name…after all you named him for the mustache, not the man!
