Location: Haskell, New Jersey, USA
Xander was adopted from the Bloomfield Animal Shelter. He was all by himself when they found him. In this picture he is about eight weeks old (he’s six now). The day we picked him up from the shelter was the same day my husband proposed to me. So Xander is also known as the “engagement kitty”.

I would have thought so too once upon a time, but now that I have one of each, I can’t make up my mind on which one of mine is more loving.
My orange boy is definitely needy and asks for affection loudly (whatever it takes), and is always vocally appreciative of it (he meowls when he’s happy and rolls on his belly a lot), but my grey girlie never gets tired of being petted. She’ll sit there and purr, and then she’ll start licking me and loving on me (the other cat does not do that).
I think the only difference is that the boy demands it, while the girl will just look at you and look at you until you’re mesmerized and have to pet her. =P

I love those big ears on him, it reminds me of my orange boy and his long ears when he came to live with us (he was bigger). He’s still got huge ears when compared to the rest of his face, I call them his “siamese ambitions”. LOL

Orange boys are the BEST kitties in the world. I’ve had two (Siddhartha (Sid) and Basil(Baz)) and both were very loving, playful, and affectionate.
