Please meet my darling Anniebelly. Her wonderful foster mother named her Annie, and when I adopted her I added the ‘belly’ due to her fondness for belly rubs! Whenever anyone comes into the house, she drapes herself across their feet and rolls onto her back, as if to say “here’s my belly, feel free to rub it!’ She loves everyone, except once…. one day a man came into my house, and I was surprised to see she didn’t lay on his feet. She scratched and hissed at him, and wouldn’t walk anywhere near him! I found out later he was a liar who had done something pretty bad to me the day before. Annie was trying to warn me about this guy! Just another reason I treasure her.

I have an Annie too! She is 11 years old. This AnnieBelly is the cutest kitty ever. Animals really do know character and when a pet does not take to someone you can be sure there is a reason. May you have many happy years together.
I bet her favorite song is the piano rag called “Belly Rub Rag!” By the way, my good friend,Indiana Fats, who lives on Guilford Avenue, sends his regards!
