This is little Pixie, the day we brought her home. She was ten weeks old and totally charmed us with her big, blue eyes. My hubby (who says he’s “not a kitty person”) carried her home inside his coat and cuddled with her the entire first day. She was a gift to my daughter for finally learning to sleep in her own bed. Little did we know that by getting Pixie, we’d be moving the human baby out of our bed, but the furbaby would be moving in!

Pixie is so beautiful – how could anyone not love that face. It has been my experience that people who say they are “not a cat person” have usually not met the right cat!

That was me! I never had a cat until I was asked to “hang on to” Trooper, my cat now, for a couple of days. After that first day…she was MINE!!!
Oh well…you can get a new kitten for the kid. Looks like that one’s gone!!
Happens all the time. I got Ozzy for my son but he wound up being mine. Susie was for my daughter but loved my then-husband.
You will know that hubby has been completely conquered when the day comes (and it will) that he tries to go to bed finds Pixie there and chooses not to disturb her. He will simply grab a pillow and blanket and go off to sleep on the couch.
It will happen. Trust me. That face guarantees it.

What a precious baby! I too noticed it was a man holding her! Didn’t take her long to have daddy wrapped around her paw! If you ever need a baby sitter I think you have a whole group of baby sitters lined up for Pixie (that is if you can steal yourself away from her!)

Thanks everyone! Yes, that’s daddy holding her. She’s almost 6 months old now and cuddles with him as much as with me or our daughter. She’s still sooo tiny – less than four pounds – so Pixie has turned out to be a fairly appropriate name for her so far! We are really enjoying our little Pix-Pix, as my little girl calls her!
