Melman
Location: Elk, Wisconsin, USA

This is when Melman was only one month old. It was her 1st time in the grass. Melman is actually a girl, but since she has a twin named Gloria it just fit. Her only brother is Mufasa, but they also have 3 other siblings: Chi, Gloria, and Kiara. All their names are from Disney Channel movies like Kiara, and Mufasa is from the lion king.

A tiny tigress in the grass! She’s adorable!
The history of cats in Wisconsin is actually really interesting. Scandinavian immigrants originally introduced cats to Wisconsin in the mid-1850s in order to assist with pest control at their dairy farms.
Not that remarkable by itself, except for the fact that in an effort to make feeding the cats easier, they bred the local cats to have a wider gap between their prominent fangs so that they could drink milk straight from cow udders at their leisure.
Influx of cats from other regions has mostly negated these breeding efforts over the years, but you do still see cats with slightly more widely-spaced fangs in the more rural areas of the state.
That is really interesting GCY
I agree–GCY is very knowledgeable about Wisconsin cat lore!
