Shanti
Location: Sewell, New Jersey, USA

My name is Shanti which mean “peace” in India. I was found in Ithaca, NY with my four other siblings. We were all dumped on a dark highway where there were homes with farms. I guess the dumper thought we would take to our new surroundings… but, we were dazed and confused and my siblings would not go to my rescuers. I was scared and stiff and couldn’t run away. I wanted a warm place to live. My new mommies took me to the B&B where they were staying, where I was feed warm soy milk and food. Then they took me in their car to my new home in NJ, where I torture the other cats!!! Oh, I am having the time of my life. I really miss my siblings and hope that they are doing as well as me.

Grayson
Location: West Columbia, South Carlolina, USA

We found Grayson (or he found us) one very chilly morning as a tiny baby. He was infested with fleas & covered with blood. We found out he was anaemic, hypoglycaemic, & needed a blood transfusion. We rushed him to the animal emergency room while he was having seizures & he almost died quite a few times. They said he had a very small chance to live & would always have a neurological brain disorder. I’m so happy to say that after a week in the hospital, & over a year now at home with us, he is the happiest, healthiest kitten ever. You would never, ever know he is a bit of a “special needs” kitty!

Walter
Location: Norfolk, Virginia, USA

This is Walter just a few days after I got him. He is just six weeks old now. I had met him a few weeks ago when he just opened his eyes and could barely walk. He looked at me once and crawled all over me and started purring. He was very brave when I first took him home, not afraid of my resident cat, Charlotte, at all. He is determined to be her friend and is a loyal companion to me. He slept with me the first night I brought him home, valiantly climbing up the side of my bed with all his might. He is a wonderful friend that greets me at the door and attacks my feet. I love the little guy

Samson
Location: Nacogdoches, Texas, USA

This is Samson. He is now a little over a year old. This is about a week after my boyfriend and I got him. The apartment was a bit lonely so we decided to get a cat last summer. This little guy was one of the many kittens just born outside at my boyfriend’s house at the time. He followed me all the time.

Stevie
Location: London, Ontario, Canada

This is my cute little guy! In this picture he is nine weeks old. He’s now 16 weeks and growing so fast. He loves to cuddle and lay on my tummy. He wakes me up every morning when the sun rises by nuzzling my face and purring like crazy! He is the love of my life and brings me such joy!

Pablo
Location: Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA

This is baby Pablo. He was the runt of a litter of Himalayan kittens. We decided to keep Pablo with us because, well, as you can see, he looked a bit odd to say the least. Based solely on his looks, we all assumed that this kitten was a boy and named him Pablo. It turns out that he was in fact a she and was remamed Hershey and grew into the most beautiful cat. The ultimate “ugly duckling” cat story.
