Arroyo
Location: South Pasadena, California, USA

Arroyo was rescued off the northern end of the 110 Freeway in Los Angeles, CA on 10/23. I was driving home from work when I saw him and a littermate getting ready to step into traffic. Was able to pull over and save him, but not his calico sister. We estimate he’s about four weeks old. He visited the vet this week and was given a clean bill of health and lots of love. Plans to just foster him were dashed when he curled up on my chest and fell asleep.

Pounce?
Second pounce!
Haven’t had a pounce in awhile. Hello Arroyo! You are very cute!! You are so tiny. You could prolly fit into my purse.
Congrats, Giggles! Isn’t this the cutest kitty???
Thank you and yes it is.
Sorry about the littermate – some people want a severe kicking – but great that this little sweeties has a home. What a tiny tail!
What a tiny cutie-pie! So sorry the sister couldn’t be saved.
Arroyo is quite the handsome little boy! Bless you for saving him – it could have easily been 2 lost if not for you.
What a cutie! I would have done the same.
Really saddened to hear about his sister. I know the end of the busy 110 freeway as it comes into the south end of Pasadena. The crudeness of some people who have no respect for life never ceases to amaze me. Maybe the only way to get through to them is to throw _them_ from a moving vehicle. But that would be playing their game.
I agree 100% with you. Anyone who would dump those two babies deserves to roast in a very hot place for eternity. This kitty is darling. I’m so sorry the sister wasn’t saved.
What a tiny kitten! Lucky Arroyo, an angel came along just in time to save him! I’ll bet he will be a wonderful addition to your life.
Sweet Baby! I know that freeway.. it’s a scary one with all the curves at the North end.
Bless you for saving him. I hope somehow his sister is safe.
Life is a highway FUZZ
Sweet surrender FUZZ
Glad that he curled up on your chest. You’re is family now. I hope he gets lots of brushes of his long, beautiful coat. My kitties love brushing.
So sorry about Arroyo’s sister. He is beautiful…bless you for giving him a good home.
If I commented on every kitten, I would type my fingers down to bone. But I cannot resist this one. What a little doll! What an amazing tail. I cannot say more about people who dump helpless animals by the side of the road than has already been said. I completely agree.
Thank you for having the guts to stop and save little Arroyo…too many people would have just kept on going! I’m sure you will be repaid in a long life of purrs!
Sounds like you and this sweet little kitten were meant to find each other. I’m sorry his sister didn’t make it but so glad to know he has a loving home. I found my best kitty ever when I rescued her from the gutter after she had crossed four lanes of traffic. (Which I believe she did on purpose, as she turned out to be fearless and endlessly curious about the world.)
I would have had to keep him too, he is so adorable.
I wouldn’t have given up this little gem, either, he’s adorable! I am sorry you couldn’t save his sister, but delighted he will have a happy and loving home
What a wonderful tiny boy!
I haven’t been able to comment in ages! (goofy wordpress thang) Anyway, I’m so glad you were able to help this little guy. So sorry his sister did not make it.
Arroyo is such a sweet little creamsickle baby!!
Thanks for saving this little one. He knew he found a home when you took him away from danger. I hope you have many happy years together.
He has such pretty markings. Bless you for saving him and so sorry about his sister. The Wolf will take care of whoever did this.
I am always amazed at the beautiful kitty pictures, and this one is a real cutie
Lovely little boy
Aww…glad you saved him!
Aww, Arroyo is a special tiny star today on TDK!
Arroyo is wonderful. Thank you for saving him.
Ah, I rescued a little 3 week old that I was going to take to a shelter in the morning, but after staying up and bottle-feeding him all night, he was going to stay forever. Funny how that happens.
HAHA…Arroyo got you. You won’t be sorry. Thank you for saving him.
