Helen
Location: Loretto, Minnesota, USA

We found Helen at the end of August, 2009. She was a feral cat in our town and had managed to survive two months on her own even though she is completely blind. For some reason, this kitten lacks any eyeballs at all, but that hasn’t stopped her from living life to the fullest! She is now approaching six months old.

Lucky Helen! Lucky you! Lucky us!
Helen is a very dignified kitten, who may lack eyesight but clearly did not lack some other sort of vision that brought her to you! Here’s a book (suggested by a fan at reddit.com) that you all might enjoy about living with a blind cat: http://www.usatoday.com/life/books/news/2009-09-02-fall-books-homer_N.htm

She’s amazing, and so are you for rescuing her! I hope you have many years of happiness together.
Beautiful and amazing cat. So glad she survived to find you to give her a special, loving home. As suggested by another, please read “Homer’s Odyssey” about another blind cat. It was a quick, thoroughly enjoyable read that made me laugh and cry (has a good ending).

Helen is a dear, sweet purrfect kitten. You can have many, many years of happiness together.
My coworker has a rescued cat who is now 16 and has been blind since found as a wee kitten in a garbage bin. He’s had many issues, including brain seizures and IBS, but his mom’s love and care has given him a long and happy life. She loves him more than anything and he doesn’t know he’s handicapped. They are quite the pair.
´Bless you, bless you, bless you. She is an angel!
Helen’s other senses have taken over for her eyes…notice how she knows how to sit for the camera! I’m sure she also has an extra large capacity for love! Blessings to both of you!
Helen is very beautiful. Quite a majestic pose.
I can only echo what everyone else has said. She’s a stunner and knows it. You will know such great love from a “special” cat, you are very blessed to have her as she is you. Prayers that both of you have long healthy lives.
OMG, Helen is gorgeous; torties my absolute favorites. May you be rewarded 1000 fold for rescuing this special angel.
