Razamataz
Location: Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
Razzy was about eight weeks old in this picture. My husband and I adopted her as a celebration of purchasing our first house, but little did we know what we were getting into! She was still partly wild and remained more headstrong and willful than any animal I have ever seen. She was reliably independent during the day but extremely cuddly at bedtime, and always seemed to know when one of us was sad or not feeling well. She had a litter of five kittens and we kept the little runt, Minion (DK from Oct 2, 2008). She grew more calm, friendly, and accepting of attention after her litter and became an even better companion to us than we would have ever predicted. She was killed in October of 2009 at the age of two years and five months old and her loss was absolutely devastating. We still miss her but we’re so glad to have had the opportunity to have her, even if it was far too short.

Haven’t had first pounce for a while and what a sweet pounce it is with Razmataz! I am very sorry for your loss. It is extremely hard losing a cherished pet as they become more like kids than a pet the longer we have them. You gave her much love and care as she did for you as well. She lives on in her little boy, Minion, and in your hearts as well. It is nice hearing how glad you are in having the opportunity to know her. You’ll be together again one day at the Rainbow Bridge. What a beautiful picture of Razzy – she looks so focused. Sounds like the time you had with her, though way too short, was fulfilling and loaded with excitement and awe. I’m so sorry for your loss.

Please accept my sympathy for your loss. Kitties can be so headstrong and stubborn, and the loss of such a loved one is so devastating! The love you shared was the important thing, and may you find comfort in your memories and in little Minion.
