Belen
Location: Rome, Italy

This is darling little girl is Belen, one of many occupants of the Torre Argentina Cat Sanctuary. She was rescued after being locked in a car and had severe burns on her tail, which was later amputated. Since the operation, she’s worn the cone, but that hasn’t stopped her from enjoying life and playing with her fellow borders. She’s a real lap cat and a complete sweetie! When she is fully recovered, she will be the purrfect addition for any welcoming furever home.

Pounce?
Who would do that to such a dear orange cat? Thank you for rescuing her and giving her a good home. Transatlantic hugs.
Belen, what a sweetie! Anyone up to a trip to Rome?
I would if I could! She sounds like the perfect addition to my family!
I’ll go too! Would also love to see whether the Forum Romanum is still the residence of so many stray cats. I photographed one or two of them when I was there many millions of years ago.
I wanted to let you know that yes this is still the resident for all stray kitties. I was there in 2008 and visited with the care givers and all the kitties. I would love to go back soon. Lets Go!
Belen you are a true beauty and special survivor thus the recipient of the TDK Star today!Good luck on finding a happy new furever home! Pounce…cute with that cone!
What a beautiful kitty, with such a sad story. I’m glad she’s doing better now. I hope she goes to a wonderful home, she desrves it.
Belen has such beautiful and soulful eyes. I pray that the very best human takes her home and loves her forever.
She’s beautiful, I would take her in a minute. What a sweet face.
Best of luck to Belen on her recovery and finding a good home. I hope whoever abused her was arrested and punished. Every kitty deserves a good home where they can be safe and well loved.
What is this camera thing FUZZ?
Such sweet FUZZ
Hi Belen! I’m happy that you’re feeling better and that you’re safe.
Beautiful lady! I hope she finds a home soon!
I was at this sanctuary 3 months ago! When I tried to make a donation, the lady there told me it wasn’t enough (all the euros I had, my husband was carrying the big bills) and sent me away. I speak Italian and I can tell you that center needs a much nicer docent.
Glad the kitty is being taken care of.
The sanctuary is one of my favorite places in Rome. I’m sorry you had such a strange experience there. Weird!
If you still want to make a donation, the website is http://www.romancats.com I know they take Paypal.
Great organization, run by volunteers.
What a pretty orange girl cat! Hi Belen! Best of luck finding your furever home!
Kisses to this sweetie!
Aww she’s so precious. Adorable photo!
Hello Belen! Awww, that is so mean of someone to lock a cat in a car. Good to hear that he is doing well!
I cant believe people could be so cruel. I do love the ending to this story though. You are very sweet, Belen.
ah, if I could only fly to Rome and sweep up this lovely ginger girl and take her home! she will make a forever family very happy, fingers crossed she gets one very soon
Bless you and bless Belen!
Awww, what a terrible thing to happen to such a sweet girl. Hope she finds a good home.
I hope the person that did that to her has something equally henous done to them. What a sweet loving little baby. Some lucky person is going to get a very sweet little baby.
Bella Belen, hello sweetheart. A person would be blessed to have you in their family. I wish we could go to Italy and adopt you. Huggies to Belen!
What a sweet little face, may she find her a great furever home.:)
What a rough start for such a pretty baby! Hopefully things get better Belen when you get a furever home!
Such a cute and inquisitive kitten, getting right up into the camera’s lens!
Sad story, glad she’s doing better. Whoever hurt her will get what is coming to them, believe it.
Best wishes for a nice person to adopt you into a furever home, Belen!
