Lucky & Rocky
Location: Alpharetta, Georgia, USA
Lucky is my sweet little feral creamsicle kitty that was rescued from an SUV’s engine compartment at a gas station. Rocky is her larger gray sister that was adopted right afterwards to give Lucky someone to play with. They are still best buds, and wrestle and play chase games every morning. Lucky is infatuated with my big boy cat Spooky. She follows him around, curls up next to him at night. She still prefers cat contact to human contact, but lets me pet her at night, in bed.
Rocky loves to roll around in my dirty laundry. She’s very food oriented and already shows a definite “spay sway”. Such a sweet little girl. Both girls are over one year old now, and are very happy and healthy.35 Comments »

I too love that phrase “spay sway”! I always joke that my dear Megan needs a tummy tuck – LOL. Funny thing is that even my mother’s very masculine, muscular, active indoor/outdoor boy kitty has it! Mom gives it the undignified term of his “skirt” (poor kitty).

How cute. They look like they are intently watching tv. Cats love to help with laundry. My Jet does. He loves it when I fly him around the house in the laundry basket.
Oh yes, Rocky loves “the laundry game”. She’ll climb into the basket with the warm dry clothes, and swat at each article of clothing as I extract it from the basket. She likes being carried in the basket downstairs too.
They have the cutest little faces! They are both very lucky to have such a great home.
It’s so great to have kittens around, especially two such cuties who like to play together. But what does “spay sway” mean? She is in heat and needs to get spayed? Or she has some pudge hanging under her tummy? One of my girl cats definitely has that swaying belly pudge, but then so does one of by boy cats!
“Spay sway” is a term I learned from my vet. Some females, after having been spayed, develop a droopy belly with lots of loose skin, which sways back and forth when they walk or run. It’s funny looking, and not harmful in any way.
I haven’t seen it on any boy cats, but I assume it’s probably called something else there.
They are both beautiful and I’m glad you took them in and gave them a good home. Good kitties go to good people.

Thank you everyone all for the kind comments. Lucky and Rocky are very appreciated and loved, and both get along fine with all my other furry friends, except Dusty, who never really understood why I wanted any more cats after her.
I’m thrilled these two got to be today’s daily kittens together, because they how they usually are.
