Oh, I love her! Lots of cuddles and snuggly naps for you and this sweet little girl!

One of my kitties, Brownie, was rescued from death row, too. A kind neighbor of her former owner, who had died, sprung her from the kill shelter where the man’s son had deposited her, and brought her to the no-kill shelter that my church helps support. Brownie is now is safe and purring with me in her fur-ever home with my husband and our other three kitty girls.

OMG, that poor kitty. Thank God you rescued her; an angel whispered in your ear to adopt the little darling. Wasn’t she kind of young to be put to sleep, she looks very small.

Friday is beautiful. Blessings to you for your rescue. May you have many years of purrs with her.

I heard that 70% of shelter kittens are killed. How horrible is that?

    *singing*

    …it’s Friday, I’m in love!”

What a darling baby! I don’t know if her name has anything to do with The Cure’s song but I love it. May you enjoy many, many years with her.

Friday is a lucky kitten indeed, bless you for rescuing her. Here in NW Washington State, all shelters easily adopt out kittens – it’s the older cats who are killed when shelters run out of room. I foster for a no-kill, no-shelter organization (we care for animals in our homes, there’s no ‘shelter’.) Occasionally we receive cats who are about to be euthanized at a traditional shelter, but never kittens. Anyway, I hope you and Friday enjoy many years of love and fun together.

Or perhaps for those of us who remember it the one-hit wonder 60′s song by the Electric Prunes:

“Monday I’ve got Friday on my mind” (or in this case Tuesday)

Anyway she’s your “gal Friday” and thank you for saving her, there should be more people in the world like you. Don’t want to get morbid, but no one knows what can happen in life, so I suggest to all my pet-owning friends that they make provisions in their Wills for whatever pet they have at the time to be given to a no-kill shelter that has been operating for a long time. I have done so, along with the stipulation that a generous donation be given to said shelter and they were most willing to accommodate my wishes. This takes the responsibility off a person who might “guarantee” to care for one’s pet, but one never knows and it is asking a lot.

Thank you for doing this. Two of my kitties I adopted as adults and they are just awesome companions. (My third is a foster failure.) Foster cats are great. They’re the only ones I’ll adopt in the future.

SHAME ON THAT SO CALLED RESCUE CENTRE!! Here in England no cats kittens puppies or dogs are killed because of lack of space! You should campaign for this to happen in Oklahoma! Use your beautiful Lavendar as a campaign poster to fight this cruel and callous decision! Well done to you and lots of licks to Lavendar. =^..^=
