Hurley
Location: Chapmanville, West Virginia, USA

I got Hurley when he was three weeks old. His mother refused to feed him (he was the runt). The next day he got very lethargic, we rushed him to the vet where they told us that he probably wouldn’t make it through the night. They put him on fluids, and kept him warm. The next morning they called us and said he was eating and playing. They call him their little miracle kitty. He’s now a healthy six months old. He’s so sweet, but he definitely has an attitude. I named him Hurley after the character on Lost, because he was big and strong. I thought it would give him good luck. (I think it worked!)

Chubby boy!
Pounce!! Pretty little (going to be big) boy.
It’s amazing how the “runt” can come back after such a rough start. May he continue to grow and thrive and become a healthy, handsome, loving cat.
(Like the bed; it almost looks like he’s got two other kitties curled up with him!)
Comeback kid FUZZ
Don’t mess with me FUZZ!
I just wanna snuggle him! What a lucky boy!
What a beautiful baby. Thank you for bringing the “runt” into your life – they need special care and will thrive and grow with love and attention. And it’s fun to spoil them!
How adorable! Kiss his little rubber eraser nose. Runts can be the best!
He has a sweet face.. what a little fighter!
I had a cat who had kittens of whom she rejected one. I removed the placenta and started trying to feed him milk – all I had in the house – and it was getting all over him. I put him down by Mom with the intention of going out for KMR when to my astonishment suddenly he was no longer rejected! She cleaned up all that milk herself – and he became her favorite in the litter instead of the reject!
Bless you for nurturing little Hurley back to health.
@Pedant – your story brought tears to my eyes.
How adorable. What a beautiful little gray mouse.
So glad Hurley became a miracle baby! I love his him as Hurley on Lost was my fave and this little furry Hurley is no different. What an adorable little gray bundle of FUZZ. When he gets neutered he probably will have less attitude. Many, many happy loving years with this special gray feline fella!
Way to go, Hurley! It’s marvellous he pulled through, he looks so healthy, happy and content now in that photo. May you enjoy many happy years with him
That is one cute kitty! ^ ^
He’s pretty. Mama did what was right for the continuance of her species. I hope mama got a home and spayed. He is lovely and I’m glad you made him live.
Glad Hurley is a little fighter and is thriving now!
Hip hip hooray for sweet survivor Hurley our handsome growing boy & Star-kit today at TDK!

Ohhh what a lil luv bug!
Hurley is so cute. I think I remember you from the chat forum because I have a Lost named kitty too….Eko.
It’s amazing that animals will grow into their names…Your Hurley looks very strong, healthy and contented. I love his little smile! Enjoy!
Soooo cute. Namaste, Little Hurley.
Hurley has brought much love to his new home. I am Hurley’s…I guess you could call me his “grandperson”, lol. My daughter took one look at this tiny, tiny boy and it was love at first sight. He was so small that it took three trips to the vet before his weight even registered. A whopping 1.2 lbs! His friends at the Vets office call him Itty, Bitty Hurley but he has quickly outgrown his nickname! I am happy to say he has grown big, strong, and healthy much like his namesake. We will have to post a new big-boy picture soon.
Thanks for all the lovely comments about our Hurley.
Yes, I do remember my daughter showing me your comments, especially because of your kitty Eko!
Now that’s a whole lot of cuteness!! Thank you for saving his life!!
Hugs to Hurley!
Yay you for persevering. What a sweet little boy and what a great character to be named after.
he’s a DOLL
