Leeloo
Location: St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada

This is Leeloominaï Lekatariba Lamina-Tchaï Ekbat De Sebat, or Leeloo for short. November 20th was Pet Adoption Day where we live, and my girlfriend and I were looking for a new kitten. We went to the Pet Adoption Fair to see what they had to offer and we were referred to Human Services to take a look at a selection of former strays up for adoption. A lady visiting the shelter was holding approx. Five-month-old Leeloo (then known as Ellie Mae) and handed her to us; she was exceptionally friendly and climbed all over us–we decided we had to adopt her, and two days later she was ours! She’s hot and cold between sweetheart and troublemaker since we adopted her but we love her all the same. In her calmer moods she likes to climb up on people, collapse, and purr!

Congrats on your family addition! Leeloo is lovely.
That’s a great photo! Or as we say in the photo trade, a “great capture,” and then it can be meant two ways: I’m glad you captured Leeloo! (Or did she capture you?)
What a royal sounding name for this beautiful kitty! So much more distinctive than Ellie Mae!!
She is incredibly beautiful and regal.
POUNCE Leeloo as our Star-kit today at TDK!
Leeloo is beautiful! Her paws are so big! Does she get called by her full name when she’s in trouble?
Your pic says it all-Leeloo, ears back, checking out her territory! Calicos are mercurial. Thanks for saving and giving Miss Leeloo a safe, loving home. Many happy years to you.
Leeloo is beautiful. I love her white socks and black sleeves. Very nice picture. I wish you many wonderful years with her. ^ ^
Precious Gem indeed! What a beauty, and I love that you used Leeloo’s full name from the Fifth Element. May you have many happy years with your kitty.
I don’t think I could even pronounce her full name, but she’s adorable!
A lovely Calico – my favorite!
Great name also!
That’s the fanciest name I’ve ever heard for a kitty! Leeloo is gorgeous and I, too, love the white toesies and black sleeves. I love that cats can act so silly and crazy and then so cuddly and loving. What wonderful creatures!
LOL! I thought I recognized her name! She’s named after Milla Jovovich’s character in The Fifth Element! Great name for a regal kitty like Leeloo is!
Oh how pretty she is and how lucky you all are to have found each other!
She is beautiful!
She’s a beauty and you are good hearts to adopt a needy baby.
yay! well done, you, adopting a shelter kitten…Leeloo is lovely
Please give her a big cuddle from me
Leeloo looks like she has a nice, thick fur coat for the Newfoundland winters.
What a pretty kitty! Tabby stripes and calico spots. Sounds like quite the character too. May you have many happy years together.

Such a lovely calico lady! Love her little white socks and pretty face. Many happy years with your “devil and angel” kitty. They’re all like that growing up.
