    Loki

This is Loki, She’s quite the big girl now. Still she’s the tiniest cat I have ever seen in my life. Now 11 months old. When we first got her she was really shy! Like: I’m going under the couch and: No I’m not coming out for a couple of weeks. Everything took practice. Petting, eating, visitors! Human contact was the main thing that scared her to death. But with lots of patience, a warm heart and lots o’ love she started out beeing her self. After three months she likes to run trough the apartment, ambush feet and lap-nap-time. She’s a real cuddle monster and purrs just for beeing with you. I’m so glad we gave that scared little kitten a chance, because it’s me and my boyfriends best friend!

    Harlan Bartholomeow Katz-Kaplan

I’ve been living in DC for a year and a half, and really missing my family’s kittys back home. After thinking about it for over a year, I finally decided to take the leap and adopt a kitten. I went to the shelter and fell in love with this adorable ginger kitten who wouldn’t stop purring. I filled out the paperwork to adopt him, only to find out that someone had already put in an adoption form for him. A week later, the shelter called and told me his first adopters fell through, and did I still want him. I was thrilled!

Harlan is a feisty little fellow just like his namesake, Justice Harlan (I)! Harlan loves to climb things, especially the screen door, and when I come home from school or work, I hear him meowing at the front door. Every time the door opens, he runs out to the hallway, much to my dismay.

Harlan refuses to drink out of his bowl, preferring the fresh, cool water straight from the faucet. He also refuses to eat human food. Of late, he has developed a taste for ice cream, but only the expensive brands.

Harlan is quite a handful, but I love him very much! He also has his very own facebook page, which he loves to update

    Spot AKA Tiny Terror

We met this little cutie at our local vets office. After a few visits, we decided to bring him home to see if he could get along with our other furry kids. After a weekend of hissing and growling, everone just settled in like he’d always been here. We nicknamed him “Tiny Terror” because he’s all kitten: he attacks everything! But, he’s also full of love, and sleeps next to me all night long.

Nigel is a crazy kitten! I got him from the shelter when he was a wee eight weeks old. Of all the kittens available, I chose him because he was hanging out by himself, yet he was very playful. Plus, the way he would chase his tail was very endearing. Now he is seven months old. He has tons of very long whiskers and a mane like a lion, the littlest lion. He is very skilled at climbing, especially my pants and the screen door, yet he is clumsy too and will occasionally run into walls. He enjoys ambushing my head as I peer out from under the covers in fear. He purrs nonstop. For some reason I am not aware of, he likes to sleep on my face when I am sleeping. I guess I shimmy out from under him throughout the night and every morning as I pick my head up off the mattress I find him sprawled out on my pillow, laying on his back, arms and legs splayed out. He trots around the apartment with me, like my shadow, only kitten-shaped. He still chases his tail.

    Olwyn, aka Punkin

I found this little darling in a shelter at three months old. She had barely survived being taken from her mother, too young. Now she rules us all with a benign, tufty, paw. She might be a dilute Tortoiseshell, but has plenty of Torti-tude.

    Buckwheat

Buckwheat is a lovey kitten. He sleeps with such a peaceful look on his face that it moved me to name this picture, “Purrchance to Dream.” He is a snuggler, and he moans quietly if you attempt to move him while he is asleep. No Cat-napper is my Buckums! That boy SLEEPS!!!

    Willie

She was a birthday present for me. My parents found her at a local cat protection society. She turned six months last Tuesday and had her surgery. Willie has got to be the screwyest cat I have ever seen. She climbs on everything, or at least she did, we’ll have to wait and see if she returnes to her ususal self. Willie is a love bug but she does attack feet when you least expect it and purs like a moter boat.
