Location: Denver, Colorado, USA
Nigel is a crazy kitten! I got him from the shelter when he was a wee eight weeks old. Of all the kittens available, I chose him because he was hanging out by himself, yet he was very playful. Plus, the way he would chase his tail was very endearing. Now he is seven months old. He has tons of very long whiskers and a mane like a lion, the littlest lion. He is very skilled at climbing, especially my pants and the screen door, yet he is clumsy too and will occasionally run into walls. He enjoys ambushing my head as I peer out from under the covers in fear. He purrs nonstop. For some reason I am not aware of, he likes to sleep on my face when I am sleeping. I guess I shimmy out from under him throughout the night and every morning as I pick my head up off the mattress I find him sprawled out on my pillow, laying on his back, arms and legs splayed out. He trots around the apartment with me, like my shadow, only kitten-shaped. He still chases his tail.

Nigel is precious. I’m so glad you went to shelter to get your little lion. Isn’t it nice how he shares HIS pillow with you? May you and your shadow have many happy, purring years together.

What a sweet little lion and such a beautiful story. Nigel must be such a joy to own. Seems he loves you very much. Some would find him annoying, especially when they are sleeping but he needs to be close to you…very close and you understand that. Hugs and kisses to him.
