Maggie May
Location: Frederick, Maryland, USA

This is Maggie May the day she was brought home in the mouth of my girlfriend’s sister’s dog. The pooch, named "Moe," rescued her after she was rejected by her feral mother. She was about four or five weeks old at the time. Obviously the runt of the litter, she has grown into a very petite little girl in the last year and a half. She get’s along great with my German Shepherd, and her best buddie my Chihuahua/Jack Russell type of mix. She’s tolerates my other two cats, and has become the queen of the household knowing that she has 100lbs of canine muscle backing her up. She still acts and plays like a kitten, and loves to sleep with me or the dogs. Or both depending on how my girlfriend and I are getting along!

Pounce.
My brother had a dog that would gently pick up kittens in his mouth and carry them to where he thought they should be. Amazing. This is such a cute little girl.
omg it’s calico/tortie week on TDK – how awesome!! I LOVE little MM, she’s just so sweet, very pretty with all that black and caramel and white. Thank goodness Moe found her, good dog
Please give Maggie treats and chin scritches from me
I was just going to say that catlessinto…it’s tortie week
Maggie May looks like a little pocket kitten here. When I first read she was found in the mouth of a dog I worried, but it sounds like Moe was a gentle, kind dog which is a very lucky thing for her. She “tolerates” the other cats, huh? Well, well..all hail queen Maggie May! TDK’s tortie of the day!
It is the week of the tortie kitties and Maggie such a very pretty one too! Love that she was rescued by dog – this just points out that we all have to look out for each other even if we are a bit “different”! I too would be confident in the house if the doggies were there to back me up!!
Such a cute story!!
What a handful your teeny, tiny girl! Maggie May is an adorable calico and I want to give a hundred gentle kisses. Thanks to Moe for bring Miss Maggie May to her warm and loving furever family. May she rule for many years to come.

Yay for Moe and Maggie! What a sweet little worried face, but she has nothing to fear for she has friends and a loving home now! Hooray!
Maggie May was just a handful of beautiful kitten. How kind of your dog to rescue her and bring her to a loving home. ^ ^
What an adorable little morsel of a calico kitten!
Don’t worry MM, nobody will mess with you for gog has your back and you rule as callie diva of the house our wee cutie-patootie the Star-kit of the day at TDK!
Ohh I love Maggie Mays story, and her looks, Awesome, must be calli week!
Oh who could have resisted this little sweet pea. You have both been blessed.
Maggie May is adorable – that expression in her eyes is precious!
Adorable!
Maggie May is precious with her blue kitten eyes.
A neighbor (who always seem to get a hold of pregnant stray cats) has a female wire-haired terrier dog who completely takes over the mothering role except for the actually nursing. It’s cute but the dog is a bit overly protective and will snap if there are kittens in the house.
Maggie is full of life & character for a wee babe. Glad she’s got a posse of dog & cat siblings to keep her busy. I think the other cats may come around more in time, but Maggie rewards the dogs because Moe saved her!
Every Picture Tells a Story FUZZ
You’re absolutely correct. When the older cats (Layla and Lovely Rita), try to fight with Maggie, the Shepherd immediately intervenes in her best protective manner; chasing the cats away then checking on Maggie to see if she’s ok. Maggie, being the “little devil” that she is, has learned to use this to her advantage, and pretty much get’s away with anything. The older cats were around prior to the dogs, so they had already established their opinions of those silly, ball fetching, panting beasts.
She is so beautiful. Calicos rule!
