Location: Anapolis, Maryland, USA
This is little Puff. He was named for Puff the Magic Dragon because he was such a fighter. He was found alone in very bad health. He had very poor nutrition at a critical time in his life, and his digestive system never recovered. Our friend who tried to save him worked tirelessly trying to find some foods to turn him around. We took him twice, for 10 days each time, while his person had to be out of town and we fell in love with him as well. In the end, as much as he fought, he could not overcome his hard beginnings and crossed the rainbow bridge. He will always be missed.

Oh man, that is so sad. At least he knew he was loved and cared for during his short life. Alas, that’s more than can be said of many human kids. Thank you for your efforts to help little Puff.

Poor little Puff. He was a really beautiful puffball. Thanks for all you tried to do. At least he knew he was loved! So sorry about your loss. This story brought tears to my eyes. To find something so beautiful and not be able to keep it!!
Thank you all for your kind words. Puff was really an amazing little fellow, everyone who met him loved him. The picture of him was taken just a few days before he died. He was 14 weeks old in that pic so you know how tiny he was. He had the most amazing blue eyes and huge purr, he was a total cuddle kit. He was very fragile but full of love. He wasn’t even our kitty, we just baby sat for him for about 20 days, but we loved him tremendously. Our friend whose kitty he was gave us the great honor of including him in our garden where the rest of our kits have been buried so we can always look out and remember him. RIP Puff.

Puff plays with Endymion every morning in the Meadow, bouncing from daisy patch to lavender crop to clover bed and followed by the other sweet members of The Kitten Pack.
They all romp happily in the care of Mama Cat, under the watchful and loving gaze of the Great Wolf of Gubbio.
All the sweet babies will wait for their guardians to come for them, crossing the Bridge that separates the Blessed Realm from the Meadow and taking them home with them forever.
For now, they all are warm and loved, happy and healthy — in the morning, in the Meadow.

Oh, I’m so sad that this little guy didn’t survive to live a long and well loved cat life. But I’m glad that he had such love in the time he did have.
