Cuda
Location: Cleveland, Tennessee, USA

My kitty, Chianti, died from the melamine poisoned cat food from China. I was devastated and swore no more kitties. The heartbreak was too much. My husband found Cuda (and Hemi) through Pet Connection in Avonmore, PA (I used to foster for them when I lived in the Pittsburgh area and Chianti was one of the rescues). He said the best tribute to Chianti would be to adopt another rescue and two kitties would be able to keep each other company. For a guy that "doesn’t like cats" he sure knows a thing or two! These are the "big" sisters to Sarajevo, who was attacked by a pitbull and is now the hyperactive bane to Hemi’s existence!

Pounce on beautiful Cuda!
POUNCE….Cuda you a one beautiful girl!!! I’m so sorry for the loss of Chianti; I know how hard that can be. I’m glad your husband was wise enough to know you needed a couple fur babies to help you through your mourning. I hope you have many many happy years!! I LOVE your fluffy tail Cuda!
Beautiful Cuda, what a stunner! Condolences on the loss of your dear Chianti, how completely hearbreaking. It’s awful when things happen outside our control like that.. I sure hope you got some kind of compensation for your pain and sorrow. Your hubby is a wise and caring man indeed to suggest bringing kittens back into your life; there is nothing like love and purrs to help one’s heart heal
sorry, “heartbreaking” .. I type too quickly sometimes
I would if I could…and will adopt Cuda as furry sibling our fluffie beauty-patootie the Star-kit today at TDK!
Barracuda FUZZ
Fluffy FUZZball.
Is there really a Cleveland in Tennesee?
Awww Cuda a is beautiful. Looks a lot like my Pumpkin! Heartbreaking story but you are doing the right think. What’s life without a cat…or two? Hugs and kisses and snuggles to Cuda!
Lovely ladycat.. Wow, such a tail!
Pretty lady! Cuda is a cutah. I am glad she & her sister have each other & you two taking care of one another. I think your husband must be a cat person at heart! Either way, I’m glad these girls came into your life. Wishing them long, healthy lives.
Cuda is a beautiful fluffy kitty. Just look at him pose for that picture. He knows he’s beautiful.
I’m so sorry to hear about Chianti but glad you were able to open your heart to another kitty.
What a nice husband, so sensitive to your feelings and suggesting two cats. I’ll bet he misses Chianti too. ^ ^
OOPS! So sorry for calling Cuda “him.”
@ Arcalian — Yes, there is really a Cleveland in Tennessee — home to Lee University, a Pentecostal-run institution.
Beautiful kitty! I’m glad you decided to open your home to more of our feline friends.
Oh my-Cuda is an adorable Calico. She looks like a cuddly ball of fluffy! And her tail is long and fluffy too. Of course, I’m thrilled you found a spot in your heart for this girl and that your husband is really a cat person. I’m so sorry you lost Miss Chianti in such a tragic way but she is watching you from the Rainbow Bridge. May you, your husband and Miss Cuda and Mr. Hemi have many happy, loving times together.
Oops, may the happy times include Miss Sarajevo too!
Wow, Cuda is stunning! I’m very sorry for your loss of Chianti.
Yes, there is really a Cleveland, TN. It is about 30 miles north of Chattanooga. I am impressed you got the car reference. Her “sister” that we adopted at the same time is Hemi. Needless to say, my husband named them. I was leaning more towards Shelby and Shinoda (Mustang designers!).
Thank you so much for adopting & for keeping your heart open!
My furkids & I wish you, your hubby & your furkids many happy, healthy years!
Oh Cuda is just gorgeous! She looks like a queen, perched on the cushion just so…that tail is amazing too…what a great feather duster it would make
Does she lay it behind your feet constantly and get stepped on like my Jamie does?
WOW look at that floofy tail.
Oh this beauty reminds me of my sweet Triscuit who died just a year ago. She was bushy tailed like that too. I miss her so much. I hope you have a long life together.
Cuda certainly thinks she is the queen of the universe. She is very social and just knows any visitors to the house are obviously there to see her. If we have overnight guests, she will sleep on the bed with them (if they permit her!), otherwise she sleeps by my husband’s feet. She has her daddy wrapped around her little paws! She has quite the dominant purrsonality and has a tendency to bully poor Hemi who is a bit smaller than Cuda by about 4 pounds.
