Location: Vacant Lot, Philadelphia, USA
Some friends of ours live near an abandoned lot. One day in June they spotted a little kitten emerge from the tall grass. To their surprise, they were able to pick her up and take her inside, without a fight. They gave her a bowl of cat food, which she eagerly chowed down. Unfortunately they had a two cat limit on their apartment, so they gave her to us. Because they had told me that she was a brown male, I was surprised when a little torti kitten arrived at our door. She let out a scared meow but quickly settled down in my lap and started purring. She knew she had a good thing going. We got her spayed, vaccinated, and treated for fleas.
A few months passed, and we tried to find her a home, but that failed, so we decided to keep her. But then we realized that we would probably be moving soon and it would be difficult to find an apartment that allowed 4 cats! Plus our older cat Bella was not too fond of the furry intruder. So, as of December 2012, she is looking for a forever home. Contact Ellen at cutehomelesskitten AT gmail DOT com if you are in the Philadelphia area and can give her a forever home!

Oh, if I lived near you, I’d take her. She’s so cute! I hope she finds a great home soon!
Freya is so pretty and sounds like she has a lovely personality as well. Hope she finds her perfect forever home very soon.
what a beauty she is! I am sure someone will spot her and take her home soon. Ah, if only I lived nearby and kittens didn’t make me sneeze… Good luck to you, and to pretty Freya! 🙂
I love Torties, she is adorable!
What a lovely thick winter coat she has!
Oh beautiful Freya, good luck finding your forever home. You look so sweet.
Who could ever call that beautty funny looking! I’m sorry I don’t live nearby and good luck finding the perfect forever home.
Alas, while I live in the Philly suburbs, we’re not allowed to have pets here (and I have no money anyway, and if pets were allowed, roomie would not b amused.)
FUZZ is looking for a home.
Hey Frey, what do you say? FUZZ
Sorry you have to give up such a sweet kitten. Be aware of Craigs List. Have heard some bad things there. Maybe your local vet can help find a home for her. I have 3 torties, mother and 2 daughters. They all have different personalities. Hopefully you will be led to a good forever home for Freya. Keeping my fingers crossed for her.
She’s so pretty; I hope you can find a good home for her soon.
TGIF is everyday with Freya as thank goodnes it’s Freya our beautie -patootie tortie the Star-kit today at TDK!
Freya is very lovely with a gorgeous plush and velvety coat. I pray someone special takes her into their heart.
Freya is a doll! I know about the pet limit thing. Craigslist can be a perfect place to rehome through. I’d post her picture and ask people to write you an email why they would make great parents to Freya. Also request to talk to their veterinarian. Give her s cuddle and lots of treats for me. May she find as loving a forever home as she is leaving:)
Freya, I hope you find a new furever home quickly. I bet your gorgeous coat feels like velvet and you are not funny looking at all sweetie.
Beautiful kitty! Thanks for stepping in when she needed you. I sure hope a good family will take her. ^ ^
Freya is beautiful! Be careful of sites such as Craigs List. A friend of mine has had luck getting kittens adopted by posting pictures at vets offices. It would be worth a try.
Thank you so much for helping little Freya. She is a beauty.
My furkids & I wish Miss Freya a forever home & many happy, healthy years. We also wish you & your furkids many happy, healthy years!
I met someone who was looking for a home for a kitten on Craigslist. She said when people asked how much she just never responded. I got my cat from her and I am ever-so-pleased with my girl, who is now 5 or 6 yrs old (can’t remember).
P. S. What a great looking kitten.
i wish i could take her but unfortunatly i live in Maryland and i already have a cat. i hope she finds a home? she is adorable.
I would take her in a heartbeat but I’m clear away in Idaho. I hope she gets her furrever home very soon.
