Hemi
Location: Cleveland, Tennessee

My kitty, Chianti, died from the melamine poisoned cat food from China. I was devastated and swore no more kitties. The heartbreak was too much. My husband found Hemi and Cuda (yesterday’s kitten of the day, if this story sounds familiar!) through Pet Connection in Avonmore, PA (I used to foster for them when I lived in the Pittsburgh area and Chianti was one of the rescues). He said the best tribute to Chianti would be to adopt another rescue and two kitties would be able to keep each other company. For a guy that "doesn’t like cats" he sure knows a thing or two! Hemi and Cudo are sisters to Sarajevo, who was attacked by a pitbull and is now the hyperactive bane to Hemi’s existence!

Awwwww nice story!
Another little beauty!
Wow, Hemi is just as cute as Cuda. Wishing you lots of happiness with your adorable new generation!
Awww Hemi is gorgeous. Sorry for your loss.
Sorry, I said Hemi was guy in yesterday’s post. She is a cutie and I’m glad she has you as a furever mom. Many happy times together with the whole fluffy, furry and hoomin family.
Hemi looks like she can hold her own. Such a beauty.
Awww another cutie! Congrats to you on your two new babies! I went to the website since I am from Pittsburgh and they have a lot of really cute kitties. Amazingly a lot of calicos.
Hugs and kisses and snuggles to Hemi and Cuda!
Hemi is so pretty! Thank you for sharing your story. ^ ^
oh my goodness, both these cats are absolutely beautiful.
Hey Hemi I read awesome things about your siblings & family. All the best to you!
She looks just like my baby Mith. What a pretty girl, i just want to feel her soft fur.
Both Hemi and Cuda are adorable. With names like that they could have been named after Chyrsler product cars. I had a Plymouth “Cuda” (Barracuda), but I don’t think it had a “Hemi” engine!
You are so lucky to have these beautiful babies in your life. Is that the camera cord Miss Hemi us chawing on? So cute
Hemi is as pretty as can be! I am sorry that you had to meet under such sad circumstances, but how wonderful that you are all together now. Many purrs and headbonks to you and your new fur family
Hemi was sitting very nicely but as soon as I got the camera out for a picture, she needed to investigate and decided the strap would be fun to chew. She is more playful than Cuda but is afraid of people other than my husband and me. She sleeps on my pillow on top of my shoulder and I wonder why I wake up with a sore neck. If I am cooking, she “needs” to be on my shoulder to supervise. She hisses at Sarajevo most of the time but late at night, they both get the “kitty sillies” and tear around for about an hour then go back to ignoring each other. Cuda is not quite as playful, why give up a good snuggle just to play with the other cats? Besides, I think she thinks it is not dignified for “royalty” of her stature to partake in silly kitty games.
