Mimi
Location: San Jose, California, USA
We adopted Mini from a family that couldn’t keep her anymore. She’s a little bundle of energy and loves to ambush her big brother, Oliver (an orange tabby) whenever he walks by. She’s always at the door waiting for me when I come home from work. Sometimes we call her “Princess Froglegs” because she has a habit of sitting with her front legs crossed and her hind legs spread out.299 Comments »

Mimi …. Lovely!
She’s adorable!!!
There is nothing like a cat to brighten the day.
I completely agree. Brightens each day.
Oh, I would love to see a pix of her froggy imitation!
Me too! She is sooooooo cute!
I always fall for tabbies with whites that have inverted V on the their muzzles.
Mine mine mine!! Sorry HM!
Oh no! Here we go again!
*psst… Mimi… come to mommy…*
Mimi, come to me…me!
Sets self to ’stealth’ mode, grabs Mimi, shoves her in the saxophone case and exits…stage…left.
SUCKERS!!!
Wow! What a pro!
*notes down saxophone case idea for next kitty and stared with admiration the cloud of dust in stage left*
At least you’re not carrying around a violin case …
She can fit her little self in a piccolo case! Such a sweet Mimi-mew!
Hey! Don’t give ideas!
It’s getting complicated to secretly smuggle a cat nowadays…
If I had a violin case, I’d have to accompany it with a fish wrapped in newspaper. Nobody wants that.
Remember, you can tune a piano, but you can’t tuna fish.
I received that album for Christmas when it was still ‘new’. I still have it somewhere. I asked for it so I could learn Time For Me To Fly.
YEAH! REO Speedwagon. They were in concert here just last night.
*Hides behind curtain and flings self at saxophone case when HM walks by. Holds on for dear life while being dragged away.* Quick, Pippa’s Mum, go around for a front attack! We’ll get this baby back in no time!
*holds laser saber*
Hand over the baby and nobody gets hurt (bad Wiseguy voice)
Ahh… I am distracted and stutter-typing. That would be PIPA’s Mum, not Pippa! So sorry.
*disguises self as one of Georgie’s Mama’s minions, takes baby with promises to take her to pick out the toys she wants. Disappears with baby disguised as a hedgehog*
I’m on stealth, so if you guys saw somebody walk by with a saxophone case, twarnt me.
Some people just like to toot their own horn!!!!!
Beep Beep
Hey, that’s my Cuddles’ nickname!!! My 4 1/2 yr old granddaughter calls her Beep Beep
Beep beep ‘n’ beep beep, YEAH!
Beatles FUZZ!
My goodness. Again, well HM steal mode must not be working if you can steal see the sax. Next time try something more stealthy no instruments. Easy to be mistaken for a band memeber and get cornered.
Learn magic tricks for disappearing from Chriss Angel. Or hypnosis (not sure of spelling there LOL) Now ya see Mimi and HM now ya don’t. HM disappears into crowd while everyone frantcally searches for the kittennapper HM.
LOL! Oh no! Now I’m getting involved. Gotta hide just incase someone looks for me and says I am abading a felon.
Siddles off to covered backstage area and makes a run for it.
LOL!
She is so cute!
What a cute little hostess. “Welcome to my humble abode. Please make yourself at home!”
Ha ha that’s a good one!
Nico, our 11-year-old calico, likes to sniff our fingers when we come home, rub her teeth on them and then jump off the sofa to go eat. We think she says, “Thank you, drive thru!” or “Thank you, come again!” She’s a sweetie pie.
She IS quite the hostess. She’ll come up and sniff you as soon as you walk into the house.
That’s her greeting.
Good morning ALL! And to Mini… You are adorable!!
So here’s the new hello’s to everyone that felt ‘snubbed’ like yesterday’s tuna…
Georgie’s Mama, One Popoki, Ginny in Cat Spring, Tinafish, MerD. Great Dane (and Bob), Amy Lou, Sharon, Renee, Dee in Tampa, Karin. You are all my extended family. I was just in a rush yesterday and had time to only come up with a few names. I seriously hope that you don’t feel like you were a cat that just had a bath. Lick your wounds and come back for some headbutts…
To Chester: Early this year my husband and I found out he had colon cancer (adenocarcinoma), stage II. We have yet to start chemo due to a move to MD and his immune deficiency. I don’t know your specific situation but my prayers for comfort are with you. Everyday can seem tough but don’t stop living!! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. If you can find it, there was some excellent articles in Newsweek with Lance Armstrong and Elizabeth Edwards about a month ago.
Well I see that I’m still chopped liver. At least the kitties like that.
Oh Good Lord! Hello MeezerMama
Thanks Tiger! I really wasn’t offended, but I just couldn’t resist giving you a hard time. I know I would leave several names out if I tried to say hello to everyone here.
BTW
HELLO ALEX!!! Have a great day in school today
I wasn’t offended, either, and I did go back to tell the stor of Bob’s escapades in the bathroom!
Oh dear what story did I miss? Man I hate missing days for my kitten fix. I always miss all the fun. LOL!
It is dangerous to drop names here!
Seriously, it’s getting more and more difficult to read all the messages and reply to everyone as the community keeps growing. I’am 110% sure that you didn’t mean to leave people out - and I’m positive that the others know that too.
Coffee and chocolate cake here, if you please.
Ehmm
Is there room for a Spaniard here?
I love cats and I love this group’s sense of humour!
And I adore chocolate cake…
Oh… and I have two beautiful Siamese…
Pipa and Melon….
*Miaws in the background*
…Waves to Pipa and family via tracking device that was placed on Mocha yesterday… She had quite a trip!
**waves**
see? I feel at home already!
*and so does Mocha and Mimi*
“No good [Pipa's mum], I’ve known too many Spaniards.”
*burns a hole in DVD of “The Princess Bride.” Sinks into Pit of Despair.*
You are welcome, Pipa’s mum! Help yourself and look who we have here - Mimi joined us.
Luckily we have some nip and tuna too.
Hola Pipa’s mum. (and all the TDKers) I love those meezers! Emma, Gracie and Thierry Meow back!
Happy Friday everyone. I brought homemade biscuits with honey and butter this morning with Momosa’s on the side! TGIF
*giggle*
Ginny… I am at a loss for words… *bows and goes to fetch wit sharpener*
Miu… thankyou! *strokes Mimi’s head*
Mind if I join y’all? I could use some chocolate today.
I wanna join in the fun. Please I have SEE”S candy. I will share if ya let me play. Can you all say CHOCOOOOOLATEEEE! MMMM! Wait now i have to wipe drool of my Laptop keyboard. LOL
Welcome, Ange! Laptops work better with chocolate on them, dontcha know..
I just loved chopped liver on matzah crackers!
Thanks Tiger! Purrs and snorgles to ya!
Hi Tiger -
I didn’t feel snubbed because I’ve been so crazy busy at work to read all the comments. My priority is to look at the cute kitty (it’s my uplift for the day - good for the stress level), then follow the conversations and all the information the great people here post. Then I try to get in on some conversations when possible. It’s nutty here again today so this is probably it for me today, but a big hello to all my TDK friends. I am, at heart, with you at our virtual breakfasts, lunches, happy hours, etc. and always bring my share of goodies as well as kitty treats (don’t EVER forget the kitty treats!). I also share in your happy times (b-days, anniversaries) and always include all of you who are feeling down or have unfortunate happenings or concerns in my prayers. Purrs and headbuts from Shaddo and Jiggs to all their extended fuzzy familly of TDKers.
Special note to Alex - HI ALEX!!!! Isn’t Mimi adorable? Can you picture the frog pose? It must be hilarious!!!
Did you say HAPPY HOUR?????????? YAHOO - let’s skip the breakfast (though not the chocolate cake) and go straight to happy hour!!!!! Chili’s Mango Margarita!!!!!!!!! Or apple martinis!!!!!
For the first time in YEARS, I got some Cuban food yesterday! I’ve been thinkin’ mojitos ever since…
HeY I wonder if his legs would look like that cute little flame point himmy a few days back. Wonder if Mimi sits on her tail in that pose.
Hi Alex, Hope all is well and hope your not getting tooo much homework.
He will make it. My aunt unfortunately did not, but her colon cancer was discovered when it was stage IV thanks to the lovely HMO system.
Yeah, I made the list - and Bob, too!!!!! He’s going to be so excited when I tell him! He had a good day yesterday: no bike rides, no baths, no accidental lock-us, no trips to the vet and no tooth brushing! I decided since he had the day “off” yesterday that I should trim his nails this morning - especially since he’s become very intent on trying to climb my legs every chance he gets! Ouch! He’s at home right now plotting his revenge!!!!!
Oh, and I love Mimi - can I pet her, HM? (see, I’ve been a good girl and haven’t tried to steal the kitties!)
Yes you can pet her. Give Bob a big hug for me.
Consider it done!
that was supposed to be “lock-ups”
I didn’t really feel snubbed yesterday, but now. . .gee, I’m not even noticed in the list that wasn’t already not noticed. . . ;(
Me neither!

or me!
I’ll give you a shout-out, FonaHonda! Hey!!!! *waves enthusiastically!* This site wouldn’t be the same without you!
and Marsha, too! Helloooo!!
Gosh I can’t type today. I either add too many letters or leave them out… That’s FondaHonda…. hehe. Oh, and good morning Alex! I hope you have a great day and a great weekend off from school to follow.
Hey Amy Lou! Hey Bubba! Hey Shakeitha! Hey Jose!Hey anybody else who’s name wasn’t listed yesterday! Tiger, I’m just giving you a hard time because I’m in awe of the fact that you even TRIED to list people’s names. Happy Friday to everyone–only 12 full days and 2 half days of school left! YIPPPEEEE
Jealous we go to June 8th in morgan hill calif.
Even though I am only a sub right now hope for full time in August.
This reminds me of a childrens’ TV show I used to watch in the 50s. (Yes, I’m that old!) I don’t recall the name of the show but it had a female host who would pull out a handheld mirror at the end of the show, remove the center of the mirror and peer through it out into TVland. She would then recite the names of all the children she saw watching the show. Every day I would wait eagerly for her to see me, but she never did. *sigh* Will my inner child ever recover? (No comment about oversensitivity please, Instinct! I’m not crying in the workplace.)
“Thanks for noticing me.” –Eeyore, Winnie the Pooh’s friend.
That was Romper Room and Miss Sally! It was my favorite as a child, but she never said my name.
That’s it!!
She probably didn’t say your name because there were no little girls named ‘Kitten’ around (except on Father Knows Best). . .
Tee Hee!
That was Romper Room.
And it was a magnifying glass, wasn’t it?
Romper stomper bomper boo,
Tell me, tell me, tell me true
Majic mirror tell me today,
Did all my friends have fun at play?
I would wait every day for her to “see” me in the mirror. You would think with a common name like Rose I would have heard it once!
