1177811039img_1020.jpgRuby was a spur of the minute decision when a friend revealed she had a litter of kittens that badly needed homes. One look and I couldn’t say no. The little lady is adjusting well to life here with my three year-old poodle mix, Gus. One minute they’re wrestling, the next they’re cuddled up and being sweethearts. She’s a feisty little troublemaker with an insatiable appetite. Ruby is about 2 1/2 months old in the photo.

Happy Anniversary, Kittenmaster (and clan kinsman) Fraser! I will celebrate by this kitty, tucking her under my arm, and looking like the Heisman Trophy as I run for daylight!

mmmm margaritas. I’ll have one please.

Grabs Ruby while Ginny is distracted by making margaritas and high-tails it out the door! Leaves McGuyver behind to set booby-trabs to keep Ginny from being able to follow.

Hey, Pipa’s Mum - Can you give me the real REALLY authentic receipe for Sangria - have several friends who make it - batches are never the same (some really yuck - how do you say yuck in Espanol - not Yucatan, yuk, yuk). Found a new one over the weekend, a cookbook from Australia at that lovely discount store Tuesday Morning - it just says Spanish red wine, brandy, and thinly sliced fruit. My friends add actual fruit concentrate ???? Recommendations, comments. Thanks y’all !!

    hello!
I don’t know if anybody reads this at this time…
But I’m clearly in a different time line and people may be looking at the next kitty when they wake up!
But I thought I should give the real recipie for SANGRIA…
Here it is, the real thing, as my mother does it:

    In big punch bowl add:
2 bottles of red wine (here we use less quality wine for the sangria but it can’t be too bad)
    1 bottle of lemon soda
2 glasses of cognac or rum (depends on tastes)
    6 spoons of sugar
2 oranges cut in chunks (the peel decorates the bowl)
    2 peaches cut in chunks
    a piece of raw cinamon

    That’s it!
Enjoy and tell me about it!

You’ve created a network w/beautiful people working for the same thing-the preservation of creatures, great & small. Alot of animals would not be alive today if it weren’t for this site & the people pulling together to save & protect these creatures. Be very proud. I know I’m proud & thankful for you. I notice, too, that people were offering to buy the first kitty. Now they just snatch them and zoom off on their motorcycles or submarines or whatever. :-( Must have something to do with supply and demand. Of course, now that there are 730 archived kittens, there should be plenty for everyone.

    Cheers, Kittenmaster!
