What a little beauty Sakura is! I hug my cats that will let me. Romeo and Juliette won’t let me. Juliette likes to be kissed on the top of hr head which i do almost every time I walk by her. If you kiss Romeo he reacts as though you bit him. Romeo has aggression issues :)

Glad to know that I’m not the only one out there with 7 of my own. They all have to be held and hugged before work each day and before bed each night. Things are a little crazy right now because we have a litter of 4 four week old kittens that we are fostering for the local shelter until they are old enough for transport to the rescue group that is taking them.

Scratch WILL NOT be hugged. She does not like to be held whatsoever.

I trick Tiger into letting me hug him. I pick him up and pet him at the same time. As long as he’s being petted, he’s OK with it.

2007-06-01 19:30:49

I hug all my kitties. And I’ve had three who would hug me back! They all kiss me. And one of the boys gives me love bites. One of the girls from past years (RIP!) would love-bite me too.

Sakura is a beautiful and exotic little kitten! How I would love to pet that little belly!

I once lived in a large apartment complex. One of the other residents had a pickup truck with a bumper sticker that said, “Looking for your cat? Check under my wheels.” If I had known for sure that I could have gotten away with it, I would have slashed all four tires and left a note under a windshield wiper: “Sorry about your tires. It happened while I was looking for my cat.”

My late Panda would hunt out the donuts so we had to hide them, usually in the microwave. She never figured out how to get it open. She could open the cupboard doors.

Any homebaked bread goods, biscuits, waffles, pancakes, french toast, cornbread or muffins were all fair game for her. But she loved any kind of donuts & would tear through the packaging to get at them.

She got several birthdays cakes before we took them to celebrations before I learned that everything had to be hid.

She’ll chew right thru the plastic bag. I wonder if their immune systems are missing something & maybe that’s why they crave those things?

Hi All!!! I’ll take a latte, but I have a cheddar cheese and broccoli omelet for breakfast. My staff laugh at me. They say they can set their clocks by me. 10:00AM “I’m hungry”

LOL

love the little tiger!!! How beautiful!!

or btw, for anyone who wants the orange cinnamon bun recipe, it is following!!!

Orange Marmalade Buns

INGREDIENTS:
• 3 cups sifted all-purpose flour
• 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup butter
• 1 cup milk
• 1 cup orange marmalade
• 1/4 cup cinnamon
• 1/2 cup chopped raisins* (optional)
• 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans* (optional)
PREPARATION:
Into a medium bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in butter with a pastry blender or knives until mixture is fine, even crumb. Add milk and stir just until dry ingredients are moistened. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead about 10 times, until a smooth ball is formed. Roll out dough to a rectangle about 10×16 inches. In a small bowl, combine orange marmalade, cinnamon, raisins, and pecans. Spread evenly over the dough; roll up as for a jelly roll, starting at long edge. Cut roll into 10 slices. Place slices, cut side down, in a generously buttered 9-inch round layer cake pan. Bake at 400° for 30 to 35 minutes, or until lightly browned. Serve warm. Makes 10 orange marmalade buns.

In 1923, Who Was:

1. President of the largest steel company?

2. President of the largest gas company?

3. President of the New York Stock Exchange?

4. Greatest wheat speculator?

5. President of the Bank of International Settlement?

6. Great Bear of Wall Street?

These men were considered some of the worlds most successful of
their days.

Now, 80 years later, the history book asks us, if we know what ultimately became of them.

The Answers:

1. The president of the largest steel company. Charles Schwab, died a pauper.

2. The president of the largest gas company, Edward Hopson, went
insane.

3. The president of the NYSE, Richard Whitney, was released from
prison to die at home.

4. The greatest wheat speculator, Arthur Cooger, died abroad,
penniless.

5. The president of the Bank of International Settlement, shot himself.

6. The Great Bear of Wall Street, Cosabee Livermore also committed suicide.

However: in that same year, 1923, the PGA Champion and the
winner of the most important golf tournament, the US Open, was Gene Sarazen.

What became of him?

He played golf until he was 92, died in 1999 at the age of 95. He was financially secure at the time of his death.

The Moral:

Screw work.
Play golf.

Happy Friday, all! Last workday of the year today, and I’m free ’til August! I’ll be around from time to time–like a bad penny, you never know when or where I’ll show up!

Purrs and headbutts to all! Ginny

Every head turned at the District meeting–and who was the first “outsider” to see one? The Superintendent–who thought it was a hoot!
