This is Gizmo. He’s about six weeks old. My daughter found him and one other in the woods about a week ago and decided to bring him home. We already have two cats but I couldn’t resist that cute little face. Needless to say, there is never a dull moment with Giz. We also found his little sister a home.

Sox’s Mom know how you feel. I have had 3 interviews and have not recieved a single offer. Most comments as to why is lack of experience. And i’m like hire me and I will have experience other than subbing as well as past jobs.
I am sending my prayers that Monday goes well and you get an offer. Stay postive and sell yourself. I have come to the conclusion that when the right school match comes forward I will get my class. I have already decided I can always sub another year if I need to. I’m not going to stress over it.

See I have always wondered if we see the same thing. Especially when a post is out floating. I have heard that too and I haven’t had that happen. So I always wonder if we see the thread in the same order. Guess that means we do.

Gizmo looks like a little stuffed kitty made with soft fuzzy material. I love the twisted postion my Late Great Taffy did that on a daily basis I swear that boy didn’t have a spine. Today there is only one kitty but he is cute enough to be a dozen fur babies.
I think with cats, there’s a switch somewhere that they turn on and off, depending on whether they want normal bones, rubber bones, or no bones at all.

Dee this would be great for Brandi Lee. Especially if they could ship to her son’s unit. For Christmas they shipped in a ton to where my husband was. When they came home they told everyone to take coffee with them because the bags were over flowing in the common area. It is just wonderful to see companies that support the troops. Several requests for Starbucks were made and they would not send anything. Whether you believe in this fight or not the guys there are Americans doing a job. They love this country and are doing their duty.

That’s awesome, Sox’s Mom! I did not have to serve in the military because of peace-loving Americans before me who did serve. In fact, my dad was a cold war veteran, serving in the United States Air Force between the Korean and Vietnamese conflicts.
I am distressed by what I read about Starbucks, but am thrilled about Dunkin’ Donuts.
I thank GOD for all of our servicemen and servicewomen who are defending America from “over there”, and their families (and pets) back home.
Also, I appreciate the military servicemen and servicewomen of our allies such as the United Kingdom who are serving “over there”, too, and their families as well. GOD Bless You!

**Q: I was told that products that are combination sunscreens and insect repellents may not be safe. Is this true?**
A: Yes, there is reason for concern over sunscreen/repellents. According to an Associated Press report, there have been a few small scale studies (done on animals and human skin cells, by the way) that indicate mixing sunscreen actives with DEET (the insect repellent active ingredient) might not only increase skin penetration of DEET but also reduce efficacy of the sunscreen.
The FDA put out a notice asking for comments to determine if this is a problem or not. And the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association says that the small studies that showed the problem are flawed. So what happens next? More research.
Certainly this is an important issue that merits further research, but there may be a more immediate reason for concern. Think about how these products are designed to be used: Sunscreens need to be repeatedly applied, in fairly large quantities, to keep your skin covered. But insect repellents are only intended to be applied occasionally (to prevent over exposure.)
So while a combination sunscreen/insect repellant sounds like a great idea, they kind of cancel each other out in a weird way – if you apply enough product to give good sun protection then you might be overdosing on the insect repellent. But if you lower the dose of the repellant, you don’t get enough sunscreen.
Thank you very much, but I’ll just carry two separate products in my beach bag.
This is a really good article! My husband golfs and must use sunscreen or he becomes a crispy critter. Also when he is around water traps, the misquitos will eat him alive. He uses the Sun and Bug vatiety. He gets a lot more sun, although he isn’t getting a sunburn.

JERUSALEM (Reuters) - An Israeli criminal slipped away from house arrest by putting his electronic ankle monitor on his dog, police said on Thursday.
It wasn’t until police came to take Nabil Farumi, convicted of attempted murder, to a sentencing hearing, that he was gone without a trace.
“After we searched the house we saw that he somehow managed to take the monitor off his leg and place it around he neck of his dog, who continued to walk around the house,” said Yoram Danieli, a police commander in northern Israel.
