Pixie
Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA

Pixie was supposed to go to another home but it all fell through so we decided to welcome in to our family. Everyone is in love with our mischievous lil’ Pixie, with the exception of her new kitty sister, who is 10 years old and used to being the queen on the house!!

Oh my goodness, that is one cute little kitty. I must have one just like it!
OOOOOOH so sweet! I’d take a DOZEN just like her! How I wish I could, don’t you?
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww…I love the brown nose and little tiny bit of pink on her mouth.
Hi, KM! Hi, Alex!
JCL
Howdy, y’all. Pixie sure is a cutey!
– The CatWrangler from Louisiana
CatWrangler what does the JCL stand for if it is your full name you don’t have to divuldge that iinfo.
Hi Susan,
How are you and Petey? Hope you are both well.
I don’t mean to step on anyone’s toes but you asked what the JCL stands for in CatWrangler’s post. I think he said one time, that it stands for Jesus Christ is our Lord. I apologize if I am wrong . Hope you have a nice weekend. I’m fixing to go to town.
Hi Renee thanks for asking Petey and I are finer than frog’s hair.
I hope you are doing well.
I haven’t heard that expression in years!! Wow that brings back happy childhood memories.
I asked that same question, Susan. It stands for Jesus Christ is Lord.
JCL
Yep — Renee in Arkansas (Go Hogs!) and Jo in Blairsville (Go [insert team mascot here]) both answered correctly. For that, they can each take turns loving on Pixie!
I place “JCL” at the top of everything I write or type — it’s another way for me to put HIM first in this life I live. Thanks for asking!
Just for you, Susan, “Go Dawgs!”
(Unless of course you’re a Ramblin’ Wreck fan — in which case I do apologize.)
– The CatWrangler from Louisiana
Catwrangler….JCL is a wonderful touch to your comments. Thanks.
Thanks Renee, Jo and CatWrangler for the answer and He is the answer.
I am from Chicago so for me it is Go Fighting Irish and I also love the Cornhuskers. So glad that it almost time for football. The Hall of Fame induction is tonight and the game is on Monday night I think.
I’m in Georgia, so it’s Dawgs, Vick-less Falcons and Braves.
I’m from beautiful, tropical Cleveland, Ohio, so I have to give a shout-out to the Cavs (thank you for an awesome season), the Indians, the Ohio State Buckeyes, and, yes, even the Browns.
CatWrangler, I’m hurt!
My daddy works 30+years at the UGa Athletic Dep’t, raises his children to be proper gatorhatin’, techcondemmin’ Dawgs, and your shoutout is only for Susan?!?
*puts on Clisby Clarke “Bulldawg Boogie” CD (yes, I have one of those, too!), winds up musical Uga plush toy, and cries one tear on calendar for each day until the opening kickoff, stopping only to make mental note to sign up for Munson podcast downloads this season*
Are you still in Georgia, Ginny? We’re trying to figure out who is where for possible get-togethers.
Call me if ya’ll get together in Georgia…I am in Powder Springs! I am a real estate agent and sit in a neighborhood in Austell called Autumn Brook. Is it Sharon in Austell and Susan in Kennesaw? I probably live right between the two of you! Come on over to my house, though you’ll have to move a cat to sit down.
DEBBIE
I love how shes sleeping, so adorable!!! *picks up and snorgles kitten*
She is SOOOO beautiful!!!
JCL
Looks like Pixie is giving herself a hug!
Good morning, good afternoon and good evening to all my sisters and brothers in the TDK universe, where ever you may be!
“Y’all take care — and Pixie, don’t fur-git to clean your paws before — and after dinner.”
– The CatWrangler from Louisiana
I agree with you CatWrangler…. Pixie looks like she is hugging her self or is enjoying a wonderful cat dream as she looks like she is smiling. Now that someone mentioned it, I see the white eyeliner too. Very cute kitty. Speaking of manicures, I clipped Sylvester’s claws today as they were becoming like razors which makes it hard to play with him unless I wear gloves. He doesn’t like it and so to reward him for being mostly patient with me, I gave him some fresh cat nip. Wheeeeeeeee!
I love the white-eyeliner-kitties! Pixie is adorable…
I think her little paws have a french manicure too.
How cute she is. Look at those paws. Her sister will fall under the spell of Pixie before she knows it…
ha ha ha ha LOVE those mushy pixie paws! Turning very bright green with envy….thanks for sharing…..please give her an extra squish and a kitty treat from me
Pixie is surpassingly lovely! And what a gentle and innocent portrait of feline slumber. Can’t help but feel tender when you look at that. Triggers all manner of protective brain chemistry. How I love these little creatures!
I’ve just adopted one of those famous kittens supposed to go to another home that fell through. Hmm. . .now I’ve got five cats. Funny how that works. Well, they need us, no doubt about it. Wish there were more homes for all the kittens. Aaaand the watchword of the day shall be. . .Spay/Neuter! Let’s all of us adopters work on getting the word out, cuz it still doesn’t occur to a dismal multitude.
Congrats and best wishes for your new fur family member!
Congrats for a new baby!
PS. Remember, six is always better than five!
Morning all, isn’t Pixie just the picture of gentle, quiet and relaxed kittydom…..yeah right until she wakes up I bet!! She has gorgeous coloring, pretty baby.
Good morning, all. There’s fruit-stuffed French toast, cream cheese-stuffed French toast, maple-flavored bacon, steak, hash browns, apple juice, tea, and coffee with honey. Who wants eats?

“ME!”
– The CatWrangler from Louisiana
Me! Me! Yum…
Hi Miu–we sure do miss you during the week. How are things going with you???
Ooh, thanks, you are always so sweet and kind! I’ve been quite busy lately - I’ve checked the site so late that the party has already ended and there are only crumbles and drink stains on the buffet tables.
But I won’t go anywhere. I try to read every comment and hope I’ll have more free time soon. See ya!
If you let me know when you’re coming, I’ll save some goodies for you (if I can hide them from everyone else!)
Instead of just the breakfast club, how about a dinner/supper club as well? Vicki has a nice dinner going on today!
Good Morning TDK!
Pixie is very cute.
Pixie, Pixie taking my heart
I loved her from the very start.
Her peaceful ways
and loveable looks
C’mon Pixie, you’re acting like a crook!
Her soft little meow as she lays in the sun
Her pink mouth and long whiskers
That’s why I love her without a second thought
Excuse me while I take her home
‘Cuz love for her is all I got!
great poem now we have more than one poet here.
Pawsome poem!
Bonjour Amanda. Incroyable poeme. Sorry my french is very rusty. Wonderful poem. Thank you.
Purrrrrrrr…..
Pixie is adorable! Love that sweet face and the way she’s laying.
She looks so relaxed. I just want to hug her up!
I brought cinnamon rolls to the sharing circle.
JCL
“Cinnamon rolls — did somebody say, ‘Cinnamon rolls’?!”
– The CatWrangler from Louisiana
Help yourself to some cinnamon rolls, CatWrangler.
I’m sorry if I didn’t get your JCL abbreviation correct. Sometimes my memory isn’t the greatest.
And I’m sorry, Renee, if it seemed as though I was contradicting you — on the contrary, I was agreeing with your interpretation — you were absolutely correct. Funny thing — when I first saw the JCL in CatWrangler’s comments, I hadn’t a clue what it meant until I asked. Now I see it everywhere!
That’s ok, Jo, no offense taken. I just wasn’t 100% sure. I was just trying to be helpful.
JCL
“Not a problem! I just love *mumph, mumph*, cinnamon *mumph* rolls.
“I’m sorry — how rude of me. I should never talk with my mouth full — of cinnamon rolls!”
– The CatWrangler from Louisiana
PS - What a great day — the sun is shining, we got another cute little kitten to enjoy — and cinnamon rolls. What could be better?
That’s ok, CatWrangler. I like to see a man who is contented with his food!
What’s that smell?! It can’t be - Oh, yes it is! Fresh baked cinnamon rolls! *drooling all over the place*
Renee I took my daughter to breakfast at her favorite place this morning, Daylight Donuts. They were almost out so she decided to try a cinnamon roll. They asked her fried or baked. She was thrown for a loop, she has never heard of a fried cinnamon roll. She had the baked variety. She would probably prefer yours, especially if she gets to share with a kitty. She has decided that maybe she was never meant to have a cat. Teaser decided her human was my husband, Basil chose her at first, but will not leave my side since he was diagnosed with FeLV. Sox was supposed to be her baby–brought to her by her boyfriend, and he was everything to all of us–what a loving kitten. However he was taken by an insidious virus. So for now she looks at the kittens here. I have told her when the time is right, the right cat will find her. God has a funny way of making sure the right people meet–to include our furry companion friends.
Fried cinnamon rolls? That ain’t right. Fried Oreos, I like; fried cinnamon rolls scare me. Just typing “fried cinnamon rolls” would give Richard Simmons a heart attack.
She looks like she is dreaming of someone she loves and giving them a big old hug. She is one lucky lady to have a furever home.
She looks really happy and content. I hope the queen of the house will come to accept this little princess. Make sure her queenship gets love and attention as well. (Also remind Pixie that one day she will be 10 years old and may one day have a new kitten in the house. Karma applies to cats too!)
ohhhh pixie fairy…….
Brandi Lee - Goodmorning - We need an update on the grand baby before he is fully grown.
well Bradley has made it thru his first month despite his parents LOL but he has grandma and auntie Jessica to help …..kids these days are so impatient….. He is in the looks like a little old man lol …………..He is sooooooooo cute and I give him many kisses every day.
Let’s face it parents need grandparents way more that they will admit. Grandparents have experience. My daughter was 9 before we where back in country to see grandparents. I realize I missed out on all the consructive help my siblings got. Babies (and their parents) need all the support they can get.
Hi all - Hope your weekend is sweet.
Pixie is a cute little snuggle bunny. The queen sister will more than likely become adjusted if not in love with Pixie. I introduced little starving Munchie into the home with a 14 year old Zasha, the very spoiled Princess, and though she still hates all cats she has maintained her dignity, and still is my lap cat (but only if she doesn’t have to share).
I think that I need some help here.
My life is in shambles!
1. (a good thing) My mom is feeling better, but I have moved in with her and Dad to help and she is having a problem with my Georgie Girl Georgie isn’t fond of dogs and Bailey is being a poop dog.
2. I got a ticket yesterday for going too slow!! $76.50 Can you believe it!
3. The company I work for is in the process of being sold. (I am still suing the old owner for gender discrimination. My lawyer says I can)
4. My sons are both away. One is in Iraq working on airplanes and one is on a ship somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean. (He can’t tell me where. Something about national security)
5. My husband’s contract has been extended to May 2008, so he has to stay working 6 1/2 hours away from me another 2 1/2 months.
6. Most importantly, Bogman has run away. I have spent so much time and money looking for him. I have faith that he has found a new home and is well taken care of. I know in my heart that if he was hurt, I’d know it, but I miss him.
Can I please get some prayers from everyone? Thanks! Love Terri
Oh Bogman’s mama.
I hope you find him soon. I am writing w/tears in my eyes.
Hi Pixie, are you from Dixie????
Cutest of the cutest. ..
Prayers and thoughts coming your way! Wow, talk about overload in someone’s life. May your strength and the love of the people thinking about you give you peace and courage to face it all. Keep us abreast of how this plays out.
Oh, Terri, you must feel overwhelmed. Prayers and hugs, dear sister — for too many things to list. It’s always darkest before the dawn, sweet Terri. The sun will shine on you again soon. Hang in there.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Terri - You know we are here for you girlfriend. You are in our thoughts and prayers. You have all our TDK strength to lean on.
terri i’m so sorry, poor boggie lost out there.my prayers are with you.
Oh Bogman’s mama,
I am so sorry for all the trouble you are having. May Bogman come home soon. Purrs and good thoughts are sent your way.
Want you to know that you and yours are in my thoughts & prayers. We are praying that you know and feel the Lord’s love, strength, wisdom & touch. I am so sorry you are under so much pressure at this time. Love & Prayers
Thanks everybody. This is the only place that I have to vent. I have to smile at work (being the boss has it’s disadvantages. I can’t have a bad day), I have to be strong for my mom (she needs all the help she can get) and everyone else in my family has moved far away. I’m the only one still here and it’s so hard on me to be all alone (my husband would have to pay $100,000 if he broke his contract. That’s a lot of money)
Terri, when I have a lot of weight on my shoulders, I pack a picnic for one and a folding chair, and find a quiet little shady park somewhere away from everything that hurts, and get in touch with myself while enjoying nature. Maybe it will help.
What a great suggestion for everyone to do. Thanks Jo!
Oh Bogman’s Mama…that is a lot on your plate. Always know we are here for you to vent. I have done it myself and everyone here is so wonderful and supportive. I want to offer my shoulder for you to lean on if you need it. I also like Jo’s suggestion of going on the picnic to take time for yourself. I did that myself by taking the latest Harry Potter book and going to a wonderful tea/coffee place that has more types of teas than I can remember, orderd a nice black current tea and read my book. I felt better afterwards.
I also meant to say, I hope you find Bogman and the his only hanging out because he was taken to a new environment that scared him and smelled strange. I pray he finds his way home to you. Purrs, hugs and prayers to you my friend.
Hi Bogman’s Mama - I’m only just coming out of a pretty terrible 6 months, the only advice I can give you is to try and make some me time for yourself everyday - even if it’s just 5 or 10 minutes - and know that there is light at the end of the tunnel, even if sometimes it just seems like a git with a torch bringing you more stress. {{hugs}}
Wise words, Karin and MCW…. We probably ALL should set aside some solo-time. It’s so important to stay focused and centered when we’re being pulled in so many directions by all those who depend on us, and when so many things are going haywire. The only way to do that is to be alone and away from the catalysts.
Sorry, Mom to Tiga and the Gang …. I know you asked me not to Joprah-preach any more, so I’ll leave it at that!
I LIKE your preaching.
I like YOU!
Purrs and prayers coming your way!
Bogman’s mama, I hope your mom recovers soon and your Bogman comes home. *Hugs*
JCL
Terri, I pray that GOD will comfort you and grant you the desires of your heart.
– The CatWrangler from Louisiana
In my church we are taught that angels love to be given tasks. I’ve asked them to look after Bogman, you & your family.
That is so beautiful, Nancy….
*Vibes for strength and peace coming to you, as well as
{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}
Oh no! Purrs and prayers coming to your way! You sure have a lot of sorrows on your shoulders. How long has Bogman been M.I.A.?
Lots of hugs and prayers for you, Terri! Draw on all of us for strength and hope.
OH, dear Terri, I’m so sorry for your problems, not the least of which is your dear Bogman. Did he run away from your home or your Mom’s home? How long has he been gone? I’ve always heard that male cats always seem to come home, so even if someone has taken him, he may try to make it back to his “Mom”. My two kitties and I send hugs and prayers for help with your problems. Please keep the faith! And be assured we’re here for support.
Strength and healing energy to you, and to all of the TDKers who are in need of our support. You guys have been there for me recently, and I could feel it.
I wanted to “insert” this, Janet, so others will see it — although Janet and I live 45 minutes apart, we met for coffee face-to-face yesterday at Starbucks. There was never an awkward moment — we were like old friends from the second we hugged. She is a lovely lady and I’m proud to know her. I wonder if we’re the only TDKers who’ve ever met in person!?
Jo, I hope to change that when Instinct and Intuition come to the SF Bay Area at the end of this month.
