    Snowball

Snowball is one of a long line of the Ling family. She is seven weeks old in this picture. I found this after she and her siblings had a rather long recess. I love how she fits perfectly in the box, like it was made just for her. She is one of the sweetest kittens I have had in a long time. She loves to be petted, and when you do, she rises up to your hand and sways her tail back and forth. Sometimes I call her Cotton Swab for obvious reasons.

I agree with you Huddy’s Mama. I love the rainy season. It makes the air smell so good and fresh. When it is like this over the weekend, I go shopping on Friday and hunker down for the weekend.

Company that I am temping at just announced layoffs in the amount of 2200-2600 people. I am not sure if it will effect the temps but I am definitely applying for permanent jobs elsewhere. I have an interview next Tuesday at a very large video game company for an admin assistant in their sales dept. Would be a longer commute but could be a cool company to work for. Will find out next week. I had a phone interview with a large pharma firm of which could be the job I am seeking (could work from home). So, trying to keep my chin up.

Breakfast: Grande mocha and lemon glazed scone from Starbucks. Anyone up for the buffet yet? ;-)

forest fires, brown lawns and dead flowers. Please send some our way! Love to see a “Snowball” right about now. It’s been so hot.

Thu-ploof! When I recover from the cuteness overload and have re-packed my airbag everyone can help themselves to lattes (iced and hot) thick cut bacon, eggs, fresh fruit and sliced vine-ripened tomatoes. While you all are at the buffet I will be petting this cool little snowball in the sharing circle. Take your time….really…no hurry.

Awww, thanks, Bumblebee! Good morning all! How are everybody doing in Texas?
Bob’s shown me a new talent the last week or so - throwing up! He seems full of energy and eats and drinks a lot, so I don’t think there’s anythin wrong with him. Sometimes I think he drinks his water too fast - or drinks too much at one sitting - and that makes him throw up. He never threw up before, except when he had the kidney problems after eating the contaminated food.
Is there any way to make him stop doing this - or at least do less of it?

Hello Great Dane, haven’t posted in a while. I’ve been lurking. Anyway, you might try to give Bob many small meals throughout the day rather than the usual two, at morning and evening (if that is what you do). Also, if Bob is throwing up hairballs, you might try to give him some lubricating foodstuffs, like some olive oil sprinkled over his food.

Two of my cats are prodigious vomiters, and I have tried the olive oil thing, which has worked like a charm. I used to give all of them Petromalt but several of them went “off” the flavor pretty quickly.

Another thing that all the cats LOVE is the leftover salad dressing from my tomato and goat cheese dish. I make a tomato and goat cheese salad, dress it with lemon juice and olive oil, and when I’m done, they all gather around and lick the bowl clean. Go figure-

So, good luck to you, and lots of kisses and hugs to little Bob!

    Kate

    Hi Kate,
been wondering where you’ve been! It doesn’t seem to be a hairball problem, Bob’s having - he still gets a bathe every 2 or 3 weeks which really helps with the sheddind - and hairballs.
I will try the smaller meals several times a day thing so he doesn’t eat too much at one time. Hope it’ll hlp. Thanks for the advice, Kate - and don’t go disappear on us, now!
