Dinya

This little girl (pronounced din-ya, which is Polish for pumpkin) was rescued from a life in a barn. She is absolute trouble! Bites nice and hard, but how could I get frustrated with this cute little face? She gives her big sister a run for her money too.

I often wonder why they do not send out reminders on the weekend as well as weekdays. The reminders are automatically sent, aren’t they? I use Firefox and put the animal rescue site on the toolbar so I see it at the top of my page and remember to click.

POUNCE!
Good morning TDK’ers! Hope that you are having a great Sunday wherever you are. Its early here in Oregon
I have a cat (Stormy) who is lying on the desk and her feet keep hitting the top of my keyboard . Since it one with extra keys up there it keeps doing strange things. Like sending me to “Outlook”

Now Dynia, you should not bite, it hurts your humans!

Be careful! My kitties have tried to delete Microsoft Word and Internet Explorer, among other things. I am also a little curious about their interest in ‘Search’ function. They have opened it at least 5-6 times themselves. ???

I might never find out. ;)

I just made a refridgerator cake for my dad (mom and I ate the last one haha) before they leave for the great white North!

This little one is a cutie, but the biting needs to stop. Tiger did it until he got nipped by Bailey (not bit but nipped). Now he knows that it isn’t FUN!!!

Anyways. Happy Sunday to all

Hi Alex!

Is it possible to cure such a cute little kitten of biting? Bitey cats can be so unpleasant, and it would be such a shame if that habit continued when she’s big and gorgeous.

Dynia is so angelic-looking. (feeds kitten smoked salmon) I didn’t quite make it to worship services today, so here I am, preparing the brunch buffet a bit early. I have smoked salmon, roast beef, apple-flavored bacon, maple-flavored sausage, sliced turkey, scrambled eggs with cheese, croissants, bagels, cream cheese, Asiago cheese bread, grits, hash browns, hash blues, fruit salad, cranberry juice, apple juice, tea, and Dom Perignon mimosas. Who wants eats?

2007-08-26 15:57:48

I’ll bring my bits and pieces and we can have a feast. Can’t stay long, I have to go to sing Evensong at 5.15. We do 2 services a day 9.30 am (Communion) and 6.30 pm (Evensong), but I have to be there early today for choir practice.

*takes some scrambled eggs, hash browns, fruit salad, and apple juice .. sneaks some turkey to the adorable fuzzy little kitten*

8:00am here and I am just barely waking up. Have to feed my brats (two kitty brats - Mamma Kitty and Shiva (both spoiled little girls) and one puppy brat - a 6 year old German Shepherd mix named Trinity) get ready for church in a couple of minutes.

I have a favor to ask everybody. I have mentioned that my exercise routine is now 2 sessions of about 30 minutes of dancing to my ipod. But this is getting difficult because I am running out of music to dance to — well, I do have over 4000 songs in my iTunes library but most of this is metal/death metal which isn’t good to dance to. I also have nearly everything the band Kraftwerk has ever released but I have listened to these songs so many times that I am starting to get tired of them.
Because of the expenses for school and the doctor’s visits, I don’t have the money to buy anymore new music for a long time. I really need to keep my energy up when dancing so I need more music.

What I am asking everybody for is links to websites that have full song downloads or if you have any songs in mp3 format that you can send me. I need high energy music and prefer techno, trance, or 80’s new wave. Some metal music has a lot of energy and a decent beat too although I prefer positive, uplifting lyrics and a lot of metal doesn’t have that. Actually, I will try to dance to almost anything high energy although I am not a fan of most oldies (50’s, 60’s, 70’s) or country.

My email address is: owlwatcher_974 at earthlink dot net

Have a great day everybody!

*stops to pick up Dynia for a quick cuddle making sure to avoid her sharp little teeth*

Owlwatcher, while I’m a thrashmetal buff myself (adore Slayer) I find the best dance music is from the ’50’s or ’80’s. Please go to live365.com. It’s an online radio service with all kinds of stations to select and most are free. I listen to celtic music there (also great to dance to). You can record and later download whatever you like.

I’m off to church now … see everybody later *smiles and waves as she heads out the door*

Dynia very closely resembles our Rasputin, who’s also a biter when he’s had enough petting or holding. My daughter named him that because, as a tiny baby, he kept attacking her visitors. Now at 13 he’s learned to stop biting and only growls and yowls . Some are just irascible from birth.

Hello everyone. We now have a place to live, but U-haul decided that our Vue wasn’t strong enough to pull the trailer that their website said we were good for.

Sooooo, now we have had to upgrade to a full truck and a trailer to haul the Vue behind us.

This falls under my rule of “Don’t trust anything will happen until it’s already done”

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. We now pick up the truck on Monday and we will hit the road on Tuesday.

I also have started a silly blog so if you want, check it out

We adopted a cat when a roommate mvoed out and left his cat, Charlie, behind. Charlie has been declawed and was also a biter, but we broke him of that habit. It’s easy, really: whenever he bit too hard, we’d just walk away and leave him alone. It didn’t take long at all for him to realize that a bite meant playtime was over. Three bites later he started playing nice.

Nowadays, sometimes he’ll start to bite and then catch himself, and instead he’ll lick us.

Good luck with your cute little pumpkin!

When Nutmeg was small she bit almost every night. Often around 3 - 4 am to let us know she was hungry. I did two things - changed her feeding to just prior to going to bed and kept a squirt gun on the night stand. She didn’t like getting a face full of water when she bit, so she learned quickly to get attention in gentler ways. Good luck!
