Pikachu

She is one of six from our kitty’s litter. We named her Pikachu (which has now been shortened to Pika) for her big Anime eyes. Believe it or not, I did not pose her like this! I took one pic, looked at the view screen to see how it came out, I looked up and she was posing. It was the cutest natural pose ever! She’s a keeper!

A cat dragging a pizza slice around would be a funny thing to see!!

Sebastian and Huddy will both take food off your plate if you’re not careful. Sebastian loooooves pizza. Maverick doesn’t even care. If it doesn’t come out of the bag of Purina One he’s totally disinterested.

2007-09-05 17:16:53

A tiny cat with a slice of pizza as big as her.

2007-09-05 17:22:48

My cats try to steal food from me, too, but I’m usually on my guard and don’t let them. The one time I wasn’t on my guard, I was eating yogurt, turned my head for a minute, and when I turned back, my cat was making a meal out of my breakfast!

When my Romeo was 6 months old (he came from the street and only weighed 4 lbs then) he nabbed a piece of pizza from the pizza box on the coffee table. I grabbed the other end and he just dug his little claws in the carpet and we had a real tug of war for a minute. He was growling continuously. I won, though. I’ll share but I don’t want them taking it from my plate. Another time, my daughter put gravy on her finger and was going to let him lick it off. Apparently he thought her finger WAS the food and clamped down. She jerked back and he growled and wouldn’t let go. He thought she was taking his food. I had to pry his jaws loose from her finger.

My babies, Ginger and Shadow, both love chicken. Shadow, however, will try just about anything if you give him a chance; he once nabbed a piece of black olive that came off my pizza and, to my surprise, ate it. Also, both ahve to be watched when we set out thanksgiving dinner as they will gravitate to the smell of turkey. I try not to encourage begging, but sometimes those faces are too cute for me to resist.

2007-09-05 18:13:05

Emma will beg for green olives. She doesn’t want to eat them. She will give them a lick or two and then proceed to play with them until she bats them under the couch or chair. I have to go on olive patrol after she has her fun.

I just had a tuna sandwich. Bob slept on the other side of my desk in his chair and couldn’t have cared less!
Boss gave him some cut up chicken at lunchtime yesterday - not interested until about five o’clock when he decided he was hungry. I really wonder how he’s managing to get fat eating only dry food.

When Huddy and his brother Gizmo were babies, my niece had to hide the bread from them once they started to climb. They’d get to the cabinet, knock the whole loaf down and drag it all over the house. I don’t think they like bread, I think they liked the noise the wrapper made. She even took a picture of them running through the house dragging this loaf of bread that was bigger than they were. I wish I could find it - I’d scan it and put it on Huddy’s Catster page.
I still have to put the bread up first thing from the grocery store.

No matter what I eat, Huddy wants it. And 9 times out of 9, if I give it to him (after I chew it first a couple of times) he’ll eat it. Sebastian only wants meat. He likes chicken, pepperoni, pork chops, steak, hamburger, bacon, sausage, ham - you name it, if it’s meat he’ll eat it.

NONE of them care anything about tuna or any other kinda fish.

The man friend said in awe one night, “It’s almost like you gave BIRTH to them.” lol

2007-09-05 16:14:28

The TDK fund is a fund set up to help differ any cost to those of us that can’t afford the necessary vet trips, spaying/neutering of fur babies, Chester’s Place, or any other worth while need. We have 5 people on the committee and people can be “nominate” for assistance. Thanks Terri

Now he wants to be carried around at home. Spoiled baby. My husband said that I worried more about Tiger than I did about the kids when they were growing up. Not true… well maybe 1/2 right! There’s a coloring book about moths and butterflies that has a few. In addition, if you get lucky, you may be able to find a book called “Moths of the Limberlost” by Gene Stratton-Porter (written back in the 30s, I think) with lots of color plates. Of course, the Limberlost is Indiana, and I don’t know where you are.

But moths are awesome. Enjoy!

Thanks, I love the movie about the girl in the Limberlost, know the movie? It’s great. but, I think I loanded it out and don’t know if I have it. I might have that coloring book as I homeschooled my daughter K - 11th grade and have tons of material. I like the book about moths by Roger Tory Peterson. They sell it at the environmental center near here. That has colorful pix as well as explainations, etc.
I’m glad you feel moths are awesome too! Thanks!

Just another quick note…

Tiger had a great time at “kitty sleepaway camp”. I think he didn’t want to come home! Jamie, who runs the kennel, said that she carried him around all week-end and now it seems that I have to do the same! lol He was lying on my bed and started to purr. I asked him what he wanted and then he crawled up on my back (I was lying on my tummy) and he started to chew on my hair. The little guy was hungry and didn’t want to WALK to his food bowl. Talk about silly!

Anyways, he survived his time at “camp” and I think he’s looking forward to his next visit.

Love to all, Terri

PS…

Bill, my assistant, send a big thanks to everyone for the prayers etc for Kelly. We still don’t know anything, but at least she is alive. From what Brian’s ex-wife said, the cops were able to get enough from Kelly to identify the bad guys and they have been arrested. They left her in a lake to die. Tiger’s Mama,
How wonderful and sweet that Jamie carried Tiger around and made him feel welcome. Awww… Bless her!
When My Perry was sick and at the vet for a few days, he was ticked…. Well, when I took him back for his check up, he was not happy. The girl who worked in the back came into the room and picked him right up and put him on her shoulder and hugged him. He was fine. I was thinking, oh oh now you are asking for it. She was so happy to see him and said she took care of him at night and he is her buddy. She is the sweetest girl, lady? She is young and I felt so good having her love him so much while I wasn’t there. Awww…… I am very happy with this vet place as they are always open, just down the road :) and you can take your sick pet there anytime. They just charge you a fee for it, but who cares if your animal needs immediate attention. I’ve been happy with them otherwise also. Plus, they take payments. You have to have good credit with them though, which I do thankfully. It’s a relief knowing that when you are so upset about your pet and scared about what is wrong with them. I had no extra money when I had to take him in. They talk with you and ask how much you can pay a month, plus, they also give you an estimate. I feel very blessed. :)

2007-09-05 16:15:25

That is great you have such a wonderful Vet to go to, Bumblebee. The Vet can be so expensive and if they are willing to take payments, that is really quite generous of them. I miss my old Vet, Dr Ertemann in Marin County. He is such a wonderful Vet and always took such good care of my Whiskers. They were really good to me when Whiskers passed on and also sent a really nice condolence card signed by the Vet and the staff. My current Vet is okay but they take Sylvester into another room to give him blood work. I am going to demand they do it front of me from now on or I will take him somewhere else.
