This is Nimbus, my four month old kitten. I got him from a friend who couldn’t keep him because he had asthma. He is so adorable and loves being cuddled.
Hi Catherine -
“When it’s cold outside, I’ve got the month of May…”
Do you remember when John Belushi did a skit on Saturday Night Live and played Bethoven? He was stuck on writing a song on the piano and kept hitting 2 notes. He put them together in various rythms till he came up with that song! He proceded to shout the words in a heavy German accent. It was hillarious - still remember it vivedly to this day!
Yes I remember that bit with Belushi as Beethoven doing “What’d I say”. It was too funny. Also loved the Samurai Taylor, etc series. That was a scream.
Thanks to all for the prayers for my dad for his broken hip. He’s had his operation and is already in rehab. I really don’t know if he’ll walk again but it’s gone pretty well for a man of 86 years. Would appreciate continued positive thoughts and prayers.
Thanks
Ahhh, Huddy’s Mom, those were the days, weren’t they? I can barely remember the actual incidents of those stoner days, but the general feeling and atmosphere are still very vivid in my (somewhat drug-addled) mind.
If you want to relive those days, I suggest a trip to Vancouver, B.C. Still the same kind of “vibe” as back in the day, and the relaxed times of the pre-Nancy Reagan-”just-say-no” era, just before the god-awful repression we have to deal with now.
Hope everyone is having a good day; Susie, my thoughts are with you constantly, as are my prayers. Think about coming to visit with me for a weekend, to get away from everything. I have room, spare time and lots of cats. Take care of yourself, my friend.
Ha ha! The original Saturday Night Live was my absolute favorite show at that time. Saturday nights were planned around being able to be home in time to watch. And yes, I do remember watching it through the haze of a certain type of smoke! I also remember John Belushi doing ‘What’d I Say’ - and all the rest. Great times. I’ve looked into getting DVD’s of those shows, but somehow I don’t think my British husband would get it.
What a beautiful, soft-cloud look he has! Can I snuggle right away with him? I have iced caramel lattes to share and a bacon & egg caserole (lots of bacon for Huddy’s Mama).
Mmm… bacon & egg casserole! I’ve brought some food to share today. Toasted English muffins with butter, and your choice of sweets: orange marmalade, apple butter, seedless black raspberry jam, apricot jam, cherry jam, and honey.
It really is pretty good, especially if you can get it home made. I am sure you have some wonderful foods that we don’t know about either. Do you like alot of the american food? Hugs and purrs
Pipa’s Mum, apple butter is lovely and it’s actually an excellent substitute for oil or butter in baking. And to show you what a great country America really is…we also have prune butter!!!
Well here in Spain the closest we get to American food is the Tony’s Romas Restaurants.
All the goodies you talk about here are very difficult to find and in some cases I don’t even know what they are!
I am usually slobbering Homer style…
Ha Ha! Well the food is certainly tasty here as evidenced by the obesity epidemic.
But you guys are no slouch in the food department. and wine. and beer. Not to mention the decadent dark chocolates
Ummm Apple Butter..we even have that in fly over country! Somehow this virtual breakfast selection makes my boring oatmeal/ no sugar /no milk. and black coffee easier to bear. Trying to slim down…while I still fit in my chair. I will have that apple butter on a hot buttermilk biscuit!
Why would that be difficult, Pipa’s mum? There are so many taste experiences to savor. Like the difference between light and dark chocolate. I prefer honey made from orange blossoms to clover honey since I grew up in Florida. I find it lighter and sweeter. Clover tends to be a dark flavor that I fail to appreciate. I don’t what bees out west make their honey from. But I’d like to find out.
Oh, Pipa’s Mum, if we start sending you the regional specialties, I’d going to have to send barbecue (BBQ) sauce. Probably about a dozen different kinds!
In Michigan one of our “specialties” is cherries. There is a local company up north - Cherry Republic - who makes almost every foodstuff that you can think of, with a cherry twist. Their cherry almond butter is SO good - I will offer that for breakfast (along with cherry syrup for the waffles). They also make cherry pecan butter. They ship all over the USA - and maybe even international!
Ooh sounds delicious Anncetera. I would like some please. Drinking a Scharffenberg Mocha Freddo here (ice blended mocha) with whip cream. We have a large fire just south of San Jose in the town of Morgan Hill. The whole Bay Area skies are smoke colored. The sun this morning was red. It was also very warm last night. Had my window fan going all night which is a first this summer. Temps in the low 80 to mid 80’s yesterday and it is 62 degrees right now where I work but will get up to 78. Missing the fog.
Still waiting on Nintendo and Adobe. Guess the deciding folks took the week off. Growl!
One day closer to the weekend! Yay! Sylvester says hi to everyone. He was such a lovebug last night and this morning coming up and headbonking me a lot last night. Such a cutie he is. Yes, I love my cat and I am proud of it. Hi all, my name is Karin and I am addicted to TDK and my cat. Hee hee!
Sharon, I won’t be going to the Ghiradelli as am meeting my Mom on Sat as she wants to go see the latest Harry Potter movie (if it is still in theaters near her).
Hello everyone,
Been very busy lately, no time to even lurk! The baby is very cute today. I did read something yesterday about a Bloody Maria! Any way, I’ll have a bit of breakfast, and I need to get back to work. You all have a great day.
Hello TDKr’s -
What a striking kitten today. Too bad the friend had asthma, but Nimbus’ current guardian got the winning end here!
Have a great day all!
Hubby mentioned that I missed the 5:10am hairball this morning. Good thing too, because I’ve had difficulty sleeping lately, particularly from about 4:30 to alarm time. Guess it evened out though; I dealt with the spontaneous projectile vomiting last night (yes, on the carpet) from the other one just as I was sitting down to enjoy a cheesy pizza (yesterday was national cheese pizza day - good excuse to have pizza). So after I got over my own queasynous, made sure the old boy was ok, I did enjoy that pizza!
Ewwww! Once my poor Shaddo found himself between the back door and the storm door. When he yowled enough to get noticed, I rescued him. The fella must have paniced, cause I stepped in….poo! Emergency foot washing at 3am!
Ewww, kind of a dubous honor! Just so you know, I’m fluffy at all times here, so I wasn’t trying for a “can you top this” thing. With old kitties that don’t play anymore, these are the only stories that I have, sigh.
Have a great day, Pipa’s Mum - so glad you’re back!
no, no, no ,no!!!!
Of course you are always fluffy!!! Please! So am I!!!
When you write a post it is imposible to put feeling in my words…
When I say you win, it was like talking to my kid sister!!!
I was just jokingly saying that it was hard to top your story!
Not only are you fluffy but you are sweet and wonderful.
mmm - bacon & egg casserole? sounds yummy. As is this little guy - so cute! Ear tufts? Potential Maine coon-ish? Snorgle to the kitten, have a great day everyone!
What a sweet kitten! I’m delighted by his gorgous Van markings. I’m so sorry for the friend’s inability to keep him, but I’m glad Nimbus found a good home where cuddles are plentiful!
Hi Pipa’s mom. Someone once said don’t worry about those folks who say the world will end today because in some places it is already tomorrow. Just think, in about 8 hours it will be tomorrow where you are and I will be rotating and feeding cats and kittens and it will still be today It’s 10:47 am here.
If he’s as soft as he looks, Nimbus is gonna be a total joy to his new family. (feeds kitten sausage link) The TDK Breakfast Bar is now open. There’s Belgian waffles with your choice of berries, maple syrup (not that Mrs. Aunt Syrup’s Log House crap) from Ohio, fruit, whipped cream, cinnamon, and/or chocolate shavings; apple chicken sausage, apple/sage pork sausage, bacon (are you up, HM?), peach tea, vanilla tea, and KahluĂ martinis. Who wants eats?
Well I was just tucking myself to anncetera’s English muffins but you have boweld me over with so much choice!
I’ll try your maple syrup with a waffle (never tried maple syrop before).
Too Cute!
Very Adorable Face!!!!!!
Such beautiful eyes.
He’s got that “I’m playing here, what do you want” kind of look.
I know aren’t his eyes soooo cute? I just want to cuddle with him!
Oh so sweet…love the softness
And what a perfect name for such a soft, cloudy kitten!
Hi, Kittenmaster! Hi, Alex!
That ear fluff gets me everytime.
Pretty boy!
For some reason, the lyrics “I’ve got sunshine on a cloudy day” get stuck in my head when I’m looking at this baby.
Hi Catherine -

Howdy TDK Family:
I REMEMBER THAT!! Though when you consider what a stoner I was back in those days, it’s amazing.
Didin’t he also do “baby what I say” by Ray Charles? Or am I remembering something that didn’t happen?
Worst SNL moment for me was when they had the giant lobsters attacking. My friends and I were so wasted we thought it was real!!!
Ahh nostalgia!
Good morning all, I’m fresh from getting my shots so I’m loopy and probably won’t be on a lot, or maybe I will.
This is a very adorable looking kitty. I can imagine him being a real cuddler.
*hugs to bob*
xoxoxoxo
Huddy’s Mama!

Hope you are feeling better, HM after the shots and that you are not in pain. Extra crispy bacon for you, Hungry?? Talk care. Hugs and purrs
Hey all, I’m glad I wasn’t just remembering something that didn’t exist.
And Lynn, I am not in pain at all. I’m starving though. Thanks for the bacon!!
Shakira, I’m going to keep praying for your dad.
Ha ha! The original Saturday Night Live was my absolute favorite show at that time. Saturday nights were planned around being able to be home in time to watch. And Generlissimo Francisco Franco IS still dead!
Find the Pope in the Pizza Contest!!!!
Now I am just sitting here chucking to myself remembering all the great SNL bits. (LandShark) I am sure the co-workers are walking by shaking heads.
…telegram
“Jane, you ignorant. . .”
Never mind!
What a beautiful, soft-cloud look he has! Can I snuggle right away with him? I have iced caramel lattes to share and a bacon & egg caserole (lots of bacon for Huddy’s Mama).

Can I have one with the works? Because seeing all that I really can’t choose…
Apple butter? that exists? God bless America!
Pipa’s mum, you know what apple butter is?? I thought that it was a food only known here. Amazing! Hugs and purrs
No Lynn, have no idea what that is… that is why I find it wonderful that something that sounds so yum exists!!
You guys don’t know how lucky you are!
OMG apple butter is wonderful stuff.
It really is pretty good, especially if you can get it home made. I am sure you have some wonderful foods that we don’t know about either. Do you like alot of the american food? Hugs and purrs

Maybe we should put together a package for Pipa’s Mum, with some Maple syrup, apple butter and stuff. Ship it to her FedEx.
Oh Chuck that is sweet! A bit difficult to do but a sweet idea.
Wouldn’t mind receiving a virtual basket with your specialities… I guess each State has one, no?
Ummm Apple Butter..we even have that in fly over country! Somehow this virtual breakfast selection makes my boring oatmeal/ no sugar /no milk. and black coffee easier to bear. Trying to slim down…while I still fit in my chair. I will have that apple butter on a hot buttermilk biscuit!

Never heard of orange blossom honey !! Sounds wonderful.. especially if it is lighter than clover honey. I’ll have to see if it’s available here !
If you can’t find it I will send you some. See, Pipa’s mum? We can send food from place to place.
Oh, Pipa’s Mum, if we start sending you the regional specialties, I’d going to have to send barbecue (BBQ) sauce. Probably about a dozen different kinds!
Sure, and I will send some pierogies and potato pancakes! Gotta love coal country.

But you are not in recovery, Karin. Are you going to Ghiradelli’s this weekend?
*In a group voice like at addiction meetings* Hi Karin!
Uh oh - fire in Morgan Hill? One of our TDK’ers, Ange, lives there! I hope she is alright.
Ange - if you are out there, let us know how you are.
We’re getting your smoke in Reno, too!
Here is a link to the story on the Morgan Hill Fire. They are calling it the Lick Fire.

Sharon, I won’t be going to the Ghiradelli as am meeting my Mom on Sat as she wants to go see the latest Harry Potter movie (if it is still in theaters near her).
Tell your mom that the last Harry Potter movie left alot to be desired. I’m a big fan of the previous movies but the last one was kind of dull.
You rock. Bacon and egg casserole - I love it. Hope it’s got lotsa cheese in it. I love apple butter! I’m starved too.
I remember growing up,my mom used to make homemade apple butter.
Love it. Nothing like an apple butter sandwich!
mmmm thanks. We finally have a rainy morning here in Western KY and I was too sleepy to cook!
Hello everyone,
Been very busy lately, no time to even lurk! The baby is very cute today. I did read something yesterday about a Bloody Maria! Any way, I’ll have a bit of breakfast, and I need to get back to work. You all have a great day.
He’s heavenly!

Just have to share this one.
Hubby mentioned that I missed the 5:10am hairball this morning. Good thing too, because I’ve had difficulty sleeping lately, particularly from about 4:30 to alarm time. The worst day of my life was one night I woke up for water and I stepped on (barefooted) on a huge hairball curtesy of Melon…
EWWWWWWWW
Ewwww! Once my poor Shaddo found himself between the back door and the storm door. When he yowled enough to get noticed, I rescued him. The fella must have paniced, cause I stepped in….poo! Emergency foot washing at 3am!
Ewwwwww!!!
OK!OK! You win Joan!!!

You’re funny, Joan. I’m cracking up over here.
–I’m always amazed that the cats spewing these furballs don’t choked to death from the length of some of them
-JOAN-
no, no, no ,no!!!!
Of course you are always fluffy!!! Please! So am I!!!
When you write a post it is imposible to put feeling in my words…

((HUGS)) and excuse the misinterpretation.
Loveable face! He must have a dear personality.
mmm - bacon & egg casserole? sounds yummy. As is this little guy - so cute! Ear tufts? Potential Maine coon-ish? Snorgle to the kitten, have a great day everyone!
Good morning all!!!
Hi Alex
Good afternoon KM
What a sweetie!! Can I share please? I promise to bring to the sharing circle.
What a sweet kitten! I’m delighted by his gorgous Van markings. I’m so sorry for the friend’s inability to keep him, but I’m glad Nimbus found a good home where cuddles are plentiful!
What a soft pretty boy. I want to rub my face on him.
Good morning Alex
Good morning KM
Good morning my TDK family. Happy Thursday!
Good afternoon to you Kittypaw. It is 4:20 p.m. here in sunny Spain…
Hi Pipa’s mom. Someone once said don’t worry about those folks who say the world will end today because in some places it is already tomorrow. Just think, in about 8 hours it will be tomorrow where you are and I will be rotating and feeding cats and kittens and it will still be today
It’s 10:47 am here.
Good morning all, KM.
I hope that Instinct and Intuition are getting the boxes unpacked.
Hey, Sharon, I was wondering how they were doing too! I hope we hear from them soon. Have a good one! Hugs and Purrs
I haven’t had any responses to my emails so I am assuming the computers are still in their boxes.
If he’s as soft as he looks, Nimbus is gonna be a total joy to his new family. (feeds kitten sausage link) The TDK Breakfast Bar is now open.
