Yeah! A ‘Joizey’ kitten! :-) Hehe. I like calicos and tortishell cats. There’s always a color there for everyone. Like black cats, got some black fur, like white cats, got you covered, like orange kitties, yup, got some of that too! And don’t worry, Bella. Lots of humans like napping on couches too. :-)

Bella is a beautiful little baby girl. I’m sure she is the princess at your home.

Yesterday I was washing my living room walls (getting a head start on fall cleaning) and had to remove a large oval mirror. I laid it on the rug, mirror side up. Went back to washing and when I looked around my little LeiLani was dancing on the mirror. It was so funny to watch. Then her brothers joined her and they either dance or lay on it and look at themselves. A temporary new toy for them and you should see the foot prints. :) As I am writing this Chester Bean is dancing in circles on the mirror. The older cats aren’t the least bit interested.

2007-09-08 16:12:15

Love how the kits find ways to have fun with anything. Chester Bean dancing on the mirror reminds me of Chester/Jerry’s happy spirit. Maybe Chester Bean’s dancing in circles is a reminder to enjoy life, be happy and don’t be afraid to tell someone you love them.
Luv ya all and Big Purrs from Mittens.

That image made me think of the old Pepe Le Pew cartoons & how he always went Boing,Boing,Boing.
Don’t know why it took me there. Think I might need more or stronger coffee?

Susie, I used to love dear old Pepe Le Pew. I don’t think they make cute cartoons anymore and that is a shame.

Actually LeiLani was kind of doing a boing, boing dance when she first discovered the mirror. Will be hanging their toy sometime today if I can ever wash off all the foot prints. Just remembered I have another large mirror stored away (the mirror from my childhood dressing table), I may get that out once in awhile just for laughs.

When God Created Kitty Cats

When God created kitty cats,
He had no Recipe;
He knew He wanted
something sweet,
As sweet as sweet could be.

He started out with sugar,
Adding just a trace of spice;
Then stirred in drops of
morning dew,
To keep them fresh and nice

He thought cats should be soft to pet,
So He gave them coats of fur;
So they could show they were content,
He taught them how to purr.

He made for them long tails
to wave,
While strutting down the walk;
Then trained them in meow-ology,
So they could do cat-talk.

He made them into acrobats,
And gave them grace and poise;
Their wide-eyes curiosity,
He took from little boys.

He put whiskers on their faces,
Gave them tiny ears for caps;
Then shaped their little bodies,
To snugly fit on laps.

He gave them eyes as big as saucers,
To look into man’s soul;
Then set a tolerance for mankind,
Their purpose and their goal.

Benevolent…and…Generous,
He made so many of them;
Then charged, with fatherly concern,
The human race to love them.

When one jumped up upon His lap,
God gentle stroked its head;
The cat gave Him a kitty kiss,
“What wondrous love,” God said.

God smiled at His accomplishment,
So pleased with His creation;
And said, with pride, as He sat back,
“At last…I’ve reached purr-fection!”

Annie is a talker ……she will yowl at me and then fluff her tail to let me know cuddling is expected.
Elija blue will bring you a soft ball and drop it at your feet to play fetch…..
William and Edward both tilt thier head hen they see you coming……..
Percy is the himalayan that enjoys hugs…..and he molds his little body right up next to you and purrs and drools LOL

Sweet Bella Donna

Need the strongest coffee on earth this morning. I think I maybe got 1 hour of sleep last night. Then some nut called at 4 a.m.,let the phone ring twice & hung up. Think it was my psycho neighbor freaking out that her bully cat finally found his match. Think it was my feral Hopper getting even…..Go Hopper!

Wish I could go curl up w/my fuzzbutts,but,have to get their breakfast started. Alot of work to feed,freshen water front,back,& inside. Then the numerous litter boxes. Then comes letting the kittens out of their cages to play for a bit. Wish I could let them run all the time,but,don’t have the room.

Until I can drop in again…..Good Morning….Afternoon to all :)

Susie - your morning sounds like mine. Somedays when I am butted awake I just want to stay in bed and sleep, but all my moans and groans don’t faze the hungry horde - and as you said, all the feeding, cleaning litter boxes and water bowls takes precedent over our sleepiness. My solution has been to wait until they all need a nap, then I try my best to join them. :)

The only problem w/that is I don’t think the kittens ever nap.
I thank God sometimes that they do have a cage I can put them in. Twenty minutes w/Runt’s 2 little boys, & I’m ready for the looney bin…….almost serious on that statement….lol

A woman and her cat were strolling on the beach. Her cat started digging in the sand and uncovered a magic lamp. The woman dug up the lamp and rubbed off the sand. A genie emerged from the lamp, granting the woman three wishes. “I wish I were 21 and beautiful,” was her first wish, and it was granted.
“I wish I had $10 million,” was her second wish, and it, too, was granted.
“I wish my cat were a handsome young man who would love me always,” was her third wish, and it also was granted.
The couple went back to her home. The man then asked her, “Don’t you feel bad you had me fixed?”

Today has been a beautiful and reasonably warm day. The shops here close on Caturdays at 6 p.m. and most of them (except the tiny ones, less than 400 square meters ~ 478 square yards) won’t open on Sundays. If you think that’s stupid you are not alone.

Phew, what a prologue! I tried to tell that I was doing some last minute shopping and waddled home when I noticed a huge hot air balloon near my house. It seemed so aristocratic, so cool and idle - I have to do it someday!

Confessions, girls! Do you instantly kill all the whims or do you secretly toy with them?

Oh, Miu-if you ever get a chance, do take a hot air balloon ride. I have done it and its absolutely wonderful. It was my (former)husband’s and my 13th anniversary (no superstitions), and I had given it to him as a present. There were quite a few balloons, really pretty ones. We got in and up we went (you know, like “up, up and away”?) It was so quiet (except when they fired up the propane), and you could see all the land below. People couldn’t hear us, but the animals could. They would all look up. The funny thing was that we (in the balloon) could hear people talking on the ground, at their barbeques in the back yard, anywhere, but they didn’t know we were up there! We floated around for a while, then descended into a large open area. There was a chase car waiting for us, and we had a champagne toast. It sure was a great anniversary.

I’m quite short(5′2″) & petite(buy my clothes alot in the kids section) so I think that throws people off. And the fact that,surprisingly, I don’t have a gray hair on my head to prove my age. lol

My wife is height phobic. Watching roller coaster films makes her ill. So when she gets a hairbrained scheme I’M the guinea pig. She’s sent me up in a WWII dogfight plane and has thrown me out of a plane (with a parachute) and I dread to think what she’s dreaming up next. There isn’t much hot air balloon activity around here. Doesn’t stop her from hunting, though. ;-)

That inspired me to write a little story.

You and Sharon stand in the hot air balloon, Bo is circling around your feet. You hold hands and gaze deep in each other’s eyes. Bo gets offended and leaves you to explore the place closer. You kiss. Suddenly Sharon pushes you over the reel.
You fall. You can’t breathe and you desperately gasp air. You wave your arms and legs until the miracle happens. Your fingers find an attachment rope. You grab it and hold it for your dear life.
You start to climb up. It’s hard, harder than you’ve ever imagined. You have tears in your eyes. They make it impossible to see clearly and the hard wind is not helping either.
Nor is the sweat. Sweat is dripping from your forehead to your eyes, sweat makes your hands slippery…

Yet, you seem to make it. You are almost there - and you see something above you.
It’s Sharon. She has Bo in her lap and she strokes gently that big purring kitty. Your heart stops, you are even more frightened than during the fall. You nod your head
submissively and let her finish you off. Nobody will save you anyway.
“Was it scary, honey?” says Sharon and gives her hand to you.

PS. I sometimes write little stories but usually they are not as Hitchcockian as this.

Hey, Miu! You forgot the happy ending where Sharon collects his life insurance! :-) ha ha!
We’re thinking of adding to Bo’s name. He doesn’t seem to answer to Bo, but he sure turns his head when I call “Cow!” Maybe he shall become Cowlvin Bo-vine. What do you think?

Bungy jump from a bridge could be next.

Now hubby has rapelled from bridges and deep caves since he was a caver or spelunker in college. Bungee jumping isn’t legal in the states any more, I don’t think. Thanks, Antipodian Moonshadow (the name of one of my favorite cats btw), something else I can check into. Maybe we should have a daredevil’s convention….

Miu - you just have to try hot air ballooning sometime! Hubby surprised me with a ride a few years back and it was a wonderful experience. There is no motion sickness or that roller coaster feeling - your tummy stays right where it should be! Enjoy! Let’s see if Bella’s mommy/daddy can bring her along too!
