I vented on the “Nightshift” chat last night of how this school year is, so far, like the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party. There is a pervasive wind of “we have no idea what we’re supposed to do, but woe be unto us if we don’t do it” that began in the hallowed halls of the TEA and has strengthened to hurricane force by the time it got here.
It’s so very frustrating; just let me teach these kids how to write a coherent sentence, please!

I’m sick too. I hate the change of seasons. Always does this to me. But my own little (not so little) kitties are a big comfort giving me love an attention when I’m ill.
I am! I am! I’m sooooo sick that I think the only cure at this point is some good Mexican food. And that Jodie Foster film that opened today? I think my symptoms will persist if I don’t see it today! I’ll try not to bother the other patrons with all of my coughing and crud. . .

I fear it is the pervasie corrosion of political correctness run amok, Ginny.
They are all so concerned about being sensitive, caring, socialy aware, and milticultural they forget that what they are supposed to be educators.
