He looks very “down” with his home and family.
Archi has that type of sad or ‘down’ look. It is the expression I love on him. When I took the photo, his mom just walked away from him. He is a litter of one, which is also hard on him. No one to wrestle with. Although, he has chosen my son to play with most.

Your reaction to a Devon Rex is not unusual. I have heard that one out of ten people will like them. Being his mom, we love his look and the Devon Rex personality. Being described as a mix between a dog, a monkey and Denise the Menace.
The pictures are great! His look is definitely out of the ordinary, but that just makes Archi cuter and more adorable.

What an adorable fur baby! I also have a Devon Rex, which I rescued a few years back, and I find Devon Rexes to be very personable cats. I love Devon Rexes! I went to Archi’s website and there are some beautiful photos there. Whoever does the photography has a great eye! It will be fun to watch Archi grow up, and I thank you for sharing him with us.

Archi’s dad is an architect. Somebody has to make some money to support Archi’s mom’s hobby - Devon Rex show/raising kittens and photography!
As for how I take photos: I use a heating pad to get them to relax and with lots of pets and love. With a few times, they are so used to the routine and really want to be photographed.
Just adorable in a very unique way. My first viewing of a Devon Rex baby and he certainly is charming. Great photos of Archi. I wonder if the creator of Yoda used a Devon Rex as a model.

I am assuming you are planning on showing Archie when he is old enough. It will be fun to see how he changes as he grows!
We are hoping to show him when he is older, if he likes to show. But mostly he will be a pet. I think since he has no littermates, he lives on my one-year-old son and follows him around. My son is super gentle with him and just adores him as well.
I used to show my Maine Coons, but stopped when they no longer enjoyed it. Archi shows some great Devon Rex traits already! He is a beauty!

Adorable pictures on the website, but now I have a question. In his very young pictures, his ears are folded over. Do Devon Rex ears naturally straighten out (WAAAY out!) or do the owners have their ears docked (like dobermans)? Inquiring minds want to know!
Great question. We do nothing to alter a Devon cat (no docked, perm or ever ever ever declaw). We love when the ears are folded over as it indicates very large ears. The longer they are folded over the bigger the ears.
……….this kit needs a ‘lift’!……..

I don’t know if I am a good photographer, but our Devons are so inspiring to watch them grow that I like sharing it with everyone.
As for food, we serve Nature’s Variety Raw - organic chicken variety (not like homemade raw, it has all the vitamins and complete diet) and for in between snacking/treat we have freeze dried chicken Liv-a-Littles and Grandma Lucy’s.

Not ugly, no, but definitely a little odd - I think the Yoda descriptions are spot on! And anyway, he shares a name with my paternal grandfather who I just about remember, so I’ll cuddle him on that basis alone!
I’ve never been a big fan of the Devon Rex (not sure why) UNTIL NOW! Archi has changed my mind–I love the picture on the website where he’s in the water can. Oh boy, is he so ever cute!
