Karma

I met Karma on my way to teach class last Monday. She was being kept in an impossibly small crate by the janitor and meowing up a storm! I couldn’t help it, I took her home even though I’ve never had a cat before. She’s almost three months old I think, and full of energy! She’ll chase anything, climb anything, and attack unsuspecting feet. At night she insists on sleeping my pillow. Whenever I get back from teaching I can trust that Karma will be meowing at the door, scolding me for leaving her alone. She’s adorable and I can’t imagine China without her!

I just adopted my first cat several months ago…and I cannot imagine my life without him. He, too, meows at the door when I arrive home, jumps at unsuspecting feet and insists on sleeping in between my Husband and I. He also insists on being present when we are both trying to get ready in the morning….he usually lays on his back, feet propped against the wall and lays in the middle of our small bathroom. Just thought I’d share… glad you took that little one home! PRECIOUS!!!!

Anncetera, what is a cat dancer? I have been looking whenever I’m in a pet supply store since it was first mentioned here. I have no idea what I’m looking for so maybe that’s why I haven’t spotted it.

I have gotten them at Petsmart. All the cats I’ve had in the last 10 years LOVE this toy.

It’s a pieces of cardboard attached to a wire, so it jumps around when they swat it. I got the model that comes with a wall mount.

I think she’d love a feather toy, too. My orange boys go crazy for theirs, and actually “ate” their first one!

What a beautiful kitty! She looks like an orange Maine Coon. They are kind of rare. They are also talkative, loving, smart, and cautious. As a new cat person, you probably don’t know about this toy that our cats love. It’s a flat, circular piece of plastic with a whole in the middle (like a donut). The outside of the circular is cut open and there’s a ball inside that’s just a little too big to get out. Kitties love to bat it around in there in circles. They can spend HOURS doing this. Might be a good thing to keep Karma occupado while you’re at work. Good luck!

What a beautiful little kitty! Such soulful, loving, and intelligent eyes. May you have many, many purrfect years together. If and when you do leave China I surely hope you will opt to take her with you. Thank you for providing her with a wonderful forever home. Since you haven’t had a kitty before, remember there are many “kitty mamas” here that would be glad to help you with her. Also remember to get her immunized right away. Cannot stress that enough. Take care and be happy.

Blessings,
bodhileaf
