B.B. (after B.B. King)

BB was adopted at six weeks old. The day after I posted an Internet message asking how best to adopt a feline, he was abandoned on the netball courts near my apartment block and found by some kids who live in our building. They brought him to me in a shoebox, flea-ridden and asleep. Fate? I like to think so. He’s now King of the (two-bedroom) castle and will be even if I adopt another meow-meow. BB likes scrounging bites of tuna, stalking insects, hiding in windowsills behind curtains, and staging sneak attacks at ankles.

Siobhan - I just joined this site and saw your post - may I wish you a Happy Birthday? I was 62 on 10/30 - as my husband says, ready to file for social security. I’ve also got 4 at the RB - at least four since I got married - can’t count all the ones from my childhood. - This is a very cute kitten. I’d love to have a little one around the house.

This comment is so late I don’t know if anyone will see it (sorry, it’s been one of those weeks). After reading some of the stories here about some brats being mean to kittens, it’s great to see some responsible kids rescue a cat and find him a home. Thank you kids!
