Eric the Brave

Eric the Brave is a spunky, sweet, and irresistibly delicious little fellow. He was the spunkiest of the three kittens born to a lovely stray we took care of near my office, and I fell in love with him immediately. In no time at all, he was running in circles and doing enormous flips off the couch in his efforts to Catch the Kitty Fishing Pole, and he was snuggling with me on his breaks. He does not meow, he grunts, hence his second name, KittyPig, and he’s mischievous, hence his third, Mr. Freshycakes. He was my first kitten, and he put up with my grumpy cat Flo quite well. I’m nutz for him.

Your Eric the Brave looks a lot like my Toby the Tiger and for Toby and me it was love at first sight too. My Toby doesn’t meow either, instead he coo’s. Has anyone else noticed that the tiger cats are the most affectionate, the sweetest and funniest of all and of course the cutest? Or is that just the mom coming out in me?

Eric has the cutest little white tippy toes on that paw. He seems quite at home on that lap there. Thanks for rescuing this little doll!

There’s a nice Christmas story on how tabbies got the “M” mark…
On the first Christmas baby Jesus was crying and Mary was unable to soothe Him.
A little tabby kitten jumped in the cradle and began to purr. Baby Jesus fell asleep with the kitten cuddling Him.
A grateful Mary stroked the kitten’s head thus bestowing the “M” mark, signifying Mary or Madonna.

Yes, in case you are all wondering…Eric’s brothers and mom were all placed in wonderful homes nearby. One of his brothers, Hank, lives with my cousin, and his mom Serena and brother Kiko now live together in a home on the other side of town with a devoted catmom. Thank you for all the lovely comments!
Your sweet baby has the same look on his face as my now 2 year old rescued Braveheart. Same coloring too, but Braveheart has a little more white on his face. That stare shows his attitude and Braveheart still has that look everytime he wants attention.
