Gabby
Location: Manitowoc, Wisconsin, USA
This is my most recent kitten named Gabby. I named her Gabby because she’s a Tabby… Gabby the Tabby. But she has earned her name, she’s a very talkative girl! Gabby is the youngest of three fur babies… My oldest is a fat medium-hair calico named Daisy (she’s 4 1/2) the middle is my only boy and he’s named Salty (he’ll be 4 in April) and then the Gabby-monster, as she’s so frequently called because she’s so naughty! This picture was taken either the 1st or 2nd day we had her home, and she was playing with this toy mouse that was almost as big as her head. She sure was a fiesty one right from the start, and still is, even though she’s almost 1 1/2! I had gotten Gabby about six months after having to put down my cat, Sassy, who ended up in renal failure quite by surprise, and she was only 11 1/2, so I had expected (hoped) that I would have her for a few more years, at the very least. Even though I had my two other “kids” I still missed Sassy terribly because I had her for almost eight years, and my Gabby-monster has helped fill that void. I still miss Sassy occasionally, but I never have a dull moment with my brood that I have now, that’s for certain! Gabby’s favorite things to do are climb under the blankets at night (I’ve never had an “under the blanket” sleeper before, she’s my first!), pester her older brother and sister (*especially* her brother), climb on my shoulder when I’m on the computer (which is where she is now!) and she “begs” when she wants food or attention or both… standing on her hind legs and kind of waving her front paws, just like a dog! Sorry I got so long winded, but as you can tell, I love my babies SO much!

Don’t worry! We’re all long-winded when talking about our babies! Gabby is a doll! It makes me want a kitten again. My “kitten” is now 5 years old! He’s the only one I’ve raised from a little tyke. The others were all above the age of 2 when adopted. As a matter of fact, my “kitten,” Teddy, gave me Valentines day kisses and a lap massage this morning. Little Gabby takes me back. *sigh*

I plan on coming back this summer for 2 weeks. I love mountains! Wis. is sadly lacking in that department. I moved to Montana for 20 yrs before moving here.
