Jango

This is my big boy Jango. His favorite activities include: sitting in baskets (he outgrew this one), drinking from the kitchen faucet, and chasing his older sister, Suzy. I’ve heard that orange cats have odd personalities. Jango proved that theory right.

You’re right, Jango’s mom, orangies are something else. If you think it’s cute/funny when they like to sit in baskets they have outgrown, you’ll get a kick out of packing for a move with an orangie.

Mine insisted in trying to figure out what the boxes were for and what was in it. When we got to the new place, at some point he disappeared into one of the boxes. Well… most of him. His tail was poking out of the closed box.

We could not stop laughing, especially as he was being very, very quiet, even as he obviously had been found out, and when we open the box to get him out of there, he got all huffy and ran off: “no fair spoiling my surprise, mommy!”.

Chuck, you beat me to it! I am at work so I couldn’t get here sooner. Love the look on his face–”Yeah, I belong here so what’s the problem?”

Jango looks very set to pounce…or is planning something very naughty in that photo! “Odd” in orange cats is just “endearing”, spelt differently. The one orange tom I knew weighed 25 lbs but had the tiniest little squeak of a meow, and was convinced he was still a tiny kitten/lap cat, despite all that evidence to the contrary! Not to mention the magic ability of his fur to find my black clothes, no matter what my proximity. I haven’t lived in that building for years and up until recently was still finding them.

I have had a similar experiences with finding stray hairs long after the owner, Aga, was dead: such a poignant experience.

Mr. Jango you are adorable! Orangies are “odd”…I have one orangie, Booger, and he’s the most affectionate– bordering on NEEDY. Love him to pieces!
