Cleome and Cosmos

Cleome and Cosmos

This is Cleome and Cosmos. They were found in a sandpit across the street from a garden center on a hot summer day. They were about six weeks old when found. My friend who owns the garden center called to tell me she had something for me. I agreed to keep them until I could find a good home. That was 1 1/2 yrs. ago, so I guess we have provided the good home. My lab mix immediately became their adopted “mother”. I told my friend that I had expected a plant such as Cleome. She held up one kitten and said, “This is Cleome.” Then she picked up the other and said, “This is Cosmos.”

What a great rescue story. Your friend has a wonderful sense of humor, and knew how to name the beautiful “flower children”. So glad they found their furever home with you, and that you were able to keep them together.

I knew kitten trees would give beautiful fruit and blooms! If only the garden centres around here carried those….you are very lucky to have such well connected friends.

They are so cute, all tangled up like that! Thnx for sharing.

God bless everyone who helps all the kittens and cats who are tossed away by thoughtless, cruel humans. We have three marvelous cats in the house, each came to us from the woods around us… abandoned or lost.

It seems they pick us—how could anyone give these sweeties away after they steal your heart? Bless you for keeping them-you will be rewarded many times over!
