Hermione

We first started as foster parents to Hermione. She was testing light-positive for feline leukemia and couldn’t be put up for adoption until she tested negative. She continued to test light-positive for two months. However we were thrilled to learn that her last test had come back negative. Of course by this time we had fallen in love with her and couldn’t bear to let her go, so we decided to officially adopt her. Hermione is an extremely playful black and white kitten who loves to pounce, especially on anything with a bell. She also has a very distinct eating habit. She removes each pellet of dry food from the bowl individually and pounces on it several times before finally eating. She’s independent but loves to snuggle up next to us at bed time.

Happy Easter, TDKers and Pounce congrats again for DCH.

So happy to hear that Hermione is well and healthy. Laughed out loud reading about how she stalks each pellet of food!

I know how hard it is to give up fosters. That’s how we ended up adopting Smoochie :) I think the folks at the shelter where I volunteer knew she’d never leave my house because just a couple of days after I took her home to foster, they had her marked down as being “adopted” in their database.

Fostering lends itself to lots of cats. We are now up to 8 of our own. Not doing in fostering this year because I’m pregnant and my husband wont do the extra litter boxes :(

Ha! What a cutie Hermione is. I guess she is catching up on her reading?

My Trudy would take her kibbles and drop them into the water dish before eating them. What a mess that was. Thank goodness she got bored of that.

Happy Friday all! ^..^

OMG, I LOVE Hermione! Her name…her sullen little face at being disturbed in her perching spot…her smart tuxedo…her way with kibble….I’d adopt her in a heartbeat, too! May you enjoy her antics for many, many years to come.

Whatcha reading there, Hermione? And are you named after Hermione of Harry Potter fame? In any event, I’m so glad that you are healthy and happy and that you have a great home!

If I became a foster I’d have to become the Crazy Cat Lady with 100 cats!

I have LOTS of bookshelves she could come play on/in. I have an all white cat and an all black cat, but I don’t have a black and white cat so she’d fit right in . . .

Hermione is very precious and apparently well-read with the Marvel books showing. You both are lucky to have found each other.
