Sassy is the spitting image of her mother, Gracie, but with twice the gumption. She is a six-toed kitten and looks great in this red hat.

POUNCE!
Good Morning TDKers!
Good Morning Kittenmaster!
Good Morning ALEX!
Purty as a picture, yes she is!
She is a pretty girl. Does her mum belong to the Red Hat Society?
What a stylish young lady all dressed up to be admired and adored.
Sassy is so cute and all dressed up for Father’s day!
I brought cinnamon rolls and banana pudding for the share circle today. Help yourselves. Happy Father’s day to all dad’s, whether you have furkids or human kids.
Hi! I brought vanilla lattes (yes, I got addicted!) and self squeezed pine apple & orange juice.
And we’ve got to have snacks too: I baked small pastries with different fillings: veggie, meat & rice, cheese & veggie and ‘Mexican’. And I brought lots of donuts, small pies and ice cream. So, let’s eat!
–OMG–

A friend the other night turned me on to a Chai Tea smoothie.
I’d never had Chai Tea before. I was instantly hooked. What a wonderful flavor.
Susie–have you ever had a “Boba” tea? Also called Bubble Tea–they are wonderful!
–Dee–
Never heard of it. I thought of Bubble Gum when I read your post tho.
Here is a quick description of Bubble tea…
http://whatscookingamerica.net/BubbleTea.htm
–Dee–
Thanks for the tea info.It was interesting. I could get used to drinking tea smooties instead of sodas to cool off in the summertime.
*Someone told me once that they don’t drink decaffeinated drinks because they use formaldihyde in the process of removing the caffeine. Have you ever heard or read anything about the truth of it?
Yes, I have heard that too, but mostly modern decaf products do not use it anymre–check the labels.
Chai Tea? Thanks for the tip, I’ll try it when/if I’ll see it.
… and another mental note for Bubble/Boba tea…
Oh , I gained 5 lbs. just reading that ! but Thanks .Cute pink nose kitty today .
Good morning everyone. We must be too early, there isn’t hardly anyone here. Probably getting ready to leave to go somewhere, like me. Have a nice day!
–Back at ya Renee–
I think everyone is celebrating Father’s Day. I took my boyfriend to lunch since his daughter lives in New Hampshire.
Love this little calico!
I love calico kittieses.
Good afternoon one and all. Have just cut all the grass and am sitting down with “a nice cup of tea” as a reward. It’s just turned 4.00 pm on a humid dull Sunday. Thought I’d look at the kitten. What a beauty. Are you sharing nicely?
Remember - keep it fluffy!
what a beautiful calico, she looks very much like my Kocka. I didnt get Kocka until she was already an adult but she must of looked just like this as a kitten.
Beautiful Baby Sassy! Looks like she is living up to her name.
And yes, a cup of tea and a virtual cinnamon roll are perfect for this lovely Father’s Day.
Good [something] to everybody! The sun is shining the birds are singing and it is still sweet Sunday. We have a pretty sassy kitten for cuddles and lots of virtual snacks. Life is GOOD!
Too bad we can’t see those sassy polydactyl toes!
–Jo in Blairsville–
A very nice post yesterday that you sent to Bogman’s Mama
Good Morning/Afternoon TDKer’s. Happy Father’s Day. I am a single mother rearing 2 teens. Years ago my father said the nicest thing to me on father’s day. He wished me a happy father’s day. He figured since I was mother and father to my kids that I should be wished a happy fathers day too.
Peace
tf
Tinafish, what a lovely thing for a father to say. A special man, I am sure (like mine was).
Happy Father’s Day!
Peace to you also,
Judi
My son’s dad left when he was 3 years old and never saw him much after that. One year my son gave me a handmade card and said “To the best Mom and Dad in the whole wide world”. Will never forget that at a young age he understood the two roles I was fulfilling.
–Elene,hope you kept the card–
I’ve never had the pleasure of having any kids. And at 53 yrs.don’t plan to start. When I hear stories like yours & Tinafish’s, I get a slite pining inside that I should have had at least one.
Happy Father’s day to you &
to Tinafish as well
JCL
Reading the posts above, and below, I certainly have gained a new respect for you single “Momma Cats” out there. So, I wish all of you, and also the “Papa Cats” out there who lurk and post here, a Happy Father’s Day.
And Susie, I kind of understand how you feel. The former Mrs. CatWrangler from Louisiana and I never had children.
While growing up, I wanted to be a fireman, a policeman or a doctor, or even drive race cars, fly combat jets and such. I never achieved any of these and that’s okay. However, the one thing in life I miss more than anything else is not being a dad. So, this is the one Sunday of the year when I do not attend church services. But I have been blessed to be a “Papa Cat” to quite a few kids of the feline-kind.
I did find some humor on this day however. Earlier today after I finished lunch at a local Chinese restaurant, the waitress thanked me and wished me a “Happy Father’s Day.” So, as a result of habit, I replied, “Thank you, and the same to you.” Oh, well, she just smiled and probably thought, “What an idiot.” But it was a good meal.
Thanks for listening and enjoy your day!
CatWrangler–it sounds as if you would be a wonderful candidate for the “big brother” program. There are many young boys who are looking for a fine father figure such as yourself. And Happy Kitty-Father’s Day!
–CatWrangler–
**I feel like an Idiot now**
I had no idea you were of the male sex even after all the time I lurked before posting
CatWrangler I agree with Dee. I know that my son missed a lot by not having a steady male figure in his life. Women filling the “dad” role can take them fishing, hiking, attend little league games, etc., but the differences are still huge to a young boy.
Hope you enjoyed your day, and I’m sure the waitress thought no such thing.
JCL
Dee and Elene, that sounds like a great idea, I’ll have to look into it. I guess one could say I’m already an unofficial “Big Brother” to the children of friends of mine. It’s been a blast watching them grow up over the years.
Hey, Susie, don’t feel bad. Unless I’m a 44 year old woman with a beard in a circus, I would be concerned if I went into a public restroom and couldn’t find a urinal.
By-the-way, I just returned from Cracker Barrel where I met my parents. Dad seemed happy — especially since I paid for their dinner.
I guess if things got bad, I could always run away — and join the circus!
“Y’all take care, and don’t fur-git to clean your paws before — and after dinner.” — The CatWrangler from Louisiana
Uhm, I too thought you were a female.
In fact I’ve thought that every man here declares his sex in the first post. Hmm, I guess it just shows there are more wise and good hearted men out there than I thought.
CatWrangler–I’ve been a Big Sister for 2 years and have loved it! I wish I had done it years ago. It’s fun to be able to do ‘kid things’ since I’m a big kid at heart.
–He sounds wise Tinafish–
And he’s right. You are doing both jobs,& I’ll bet well
Tinafish.
I too am a single mom of three! we celebrated Fathers day at the beach! it was a beautiful day! And yes i’m burnt even with spf 50. Oh well! Happy fathers day you Mother!!!
The thing I miss most is Tobay Beach–am from Bethpage/Farmingdale.
I grew up in East Northport/Huntington but now live in Setauket, But Tobay is great! I was at west meadow today
Oh such an adorable lil calli. Sassy looks very smart in her red hat. She does look very much like Athena’s Kocka.
Athena-How’s Rocky feeling today? Please give him a smooch and a cuddle for his continuing recovery. I have a black coated Rocky too. Mine is a long hair 80lb dog.
Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads out there.
Hi Alex.
Hello Kittenmaster.
Hey Jerry our favorite dad at the rainbow bridge.
There is some sad news I heard this morning. Yesterday in Tennessee several people were killed at a Fathers Day parade when a drag racing car malfunctioned and drove into the crowd. Prayers of comfort to the families and the community.
Peace to all.
Rocky is improving very slowly, baby steps but he gained about 1/4 of a pound in 4 days so we are very happy about that. Even at 12.4 lbs Rocky is a walking skeleton can feel just about even bone. The vet said that the fact he was over weight gave him the reserves to pull through the worse of it. Still a very long road to recovery the vet feels this was not related to any “bad food” test results dont indicate it. But still not sure what got all this started.
Athena, so happy to hear that Rocky is improving. Even baby steps in the right direction is very good news. I hope you are feeling a little less worried about your baby at this point. My gang of 21 are sending Rocky very gentle head bonks.
Athena
Precious headbunts to Rocky & to you & the rest of your fuzzbabies
Scritches & smooches for Rocky! So great to hear he is recovering.
Lives up to her name FUZZ
Hat cotiere FUZZ
Cutie little calico cat in the hat FUZZ! What a little sweetie pie - you can tell she is plotting the next bit of mischief she’ll be getting into!
Happy Father’s Day to all the TDK’ers and KM!
I love her! she is a doll. I have a cat who has 7 toes on all 4 paws and she is a special little kitty and is my little baby.
give your little kitty a kiss for me!
Hi, Babs,
I have two polys. Digit has six toes on each paw. Furl has six on her front paws and five on her back paws. I have closeups of their paws on catster. Click on my name to see them.
awesome pictures! yes, looks like how my kitty folds her paws in! she has 7 toes front and 7 toes back, although her front toes are just all over the place and her back toes line up nicely in a line, from big to smaller! I kiss her little toes every day, I love them!!
Have you thought about putting photos of your kitty on catster.com? If you do, you can then put the catster page address in the box titled URL when you sign in on the Daily Kitten. That will turn your screen name pink and if we click on your name it will take us to your catster webpage. Purrs and headbonks from my kits to yours.
I just tried your Catster page. Wow! I am bowled over by Digit (Furl is so pretty but I prefer SH’s). What adorable feet she has - I’ve been wondering where cats put their extra toes.
Good day to all. Just love the calico babies and Sassy is a sweetie pie.
I just spent another hour in with the babies and their mom, Honey Bee. Unbelievable energy. I’ve never experienced anything like these babes. They all do the puffed up side-ways dance and sometimes all four at once. So funny. I really should rent a video camera to get some of their antics on tape. No one would believe the things I’ve seen these 6 week old kits do. Honey Bee is so thankful when I come in to divert the babes from her, that after her petting she finds a quiet out-of-the-way spot and takes a nap. BTW renamed my Bean, my favorite of the 4, his new name is Chester Bean, or Chester Beanie Baby.
Himmy is coming twice a day on a fairly regular schedule. He is eating really hearty and doesn’t run when I talk to him from the window. He does run when I go out, but most times not to far. Had the trap out on Friday and probably would have gotten him except my feral cat Knees ate the bait food while I was watching Himmy from another window. Himmy did go in part way but backed out. A very promising situation. Wish I could try tomorrow but have appointments, will try on Tuesday morning. Will use the KFC chicken this time.
Susie - I too want a cottage with land so I can have a wildlife habitat and a cat sanctuary. Would also like to have a clinic for cheap or free spay/neuter of cats and dogs. Dreams do come true and goals can be reached as long as we continue moving forward one step at a time.
Mayra - The newest group I joined seems to do good work. My only involvement with them thus far is going twice a week to clean cages of kittens up for adoption at local pet store. I also spend about a hour playing with them and letting them get exercise. Just giving the regular care taker 2 days of freedom to do other work.
Sharon of Austell - Thank you for asking, I am doing pretty good. Feeling better than I have in a long long time. Think I have finally accepted the fact that I can function while living with pain.
–Elene–
When it comes to kittens & energy,You ain’t seen nuthin yet.
In a couple more weeks….Let’s just say….
**Hugs & Prayers of Good Luck that you can keep up w/them
With my 4,they fly like spiderman & stick onto the side of the cage w/the greatest of ease. I’m in awe over them.
I’d do it over again tho. I melt every time I pick them up,look at their cute, beedy eyes & still-tiny paws, & give them cute little smooches on their noses.
It makes it all worthwhile.
–Yesterday, I kinda had a set-back. I let Runt out of the cage & let her roam some. She needed it. She came across her Tortie sister(Pretty Girl) in the back yard. Well.with both having just had kittens,& w/the siamese blood in them, they decided they no longer like each other.
That’s not a good thing,cuz I haven’t found Pretty Girl’s litter yet.She keeps moving them. I’ll just keep looking & hoping
Have fun w/your fuzzies. They grow up fast.
So glad Himmy is doing better! You are a special person for having the persistance to see him through this!
Elene, I’m glad you are feeling better and enjoying the antics of you kittens. It must be fun watching all the little ones do their kitty dance and puff out their tails. Good also to hear that Himmy is coming regularly and feeling a bit more comfortable. Your patience is paying off. Hope your health keeps improving.
Public demands pictures! You can’t talk about precious kittens without showing them!!!!! And about Honey Bee too!
And a very special shout out for Himmy. Please, let Elene help you.
Thank you, Elene, for being so patient and kind hearted.

She looks like my parents cay Honey Bear, except Honey Bear’s colors are muted. Such a cutie!
JCL
Cathi, when I was a little boy — we had a cat named Honey Bear. He was black and white with a good personality. About once a week or so, my parents and I went downtown for ice cream at a place called Borden’s. Now Honey Bear loved to go along with us. In fact, he would lick the bottom of my bowl — after I had finished it of course. He lived a long time and just recently my mother brought up his memory again. Between my parents and me we’ve had many cats since then, but Honey Bear — well — he was one of the special ones.
Thanks for allowing me to share some special memories!
Great story CatWrangler. Thank you for sharing.
JCL
You welcome!
I’ve got a special place in my heart for Calico kitties, since my Kirby, my first cat ever, was a beautiful calico that I found in the alley behind my business. She was my best friend for 17 years before she crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
Oh what a beautiful baby! You remind me so much of my sweet C.C.
*reaches out and picks up the calico kitty holding it tight for a few moments before setting it back down as she wipes tears from her eyes*
Hey owlwatcher_974.
That is a really cool name!! Do you really watch owls? They are one of my favorite birds. Gorgeous animal!!!
I used to watch the owls fly all the time up at my mom’s house. There were barn owls in her neighbors tree that flew overhead nearly every night. There were also a few great horned owls but I only got to hear them, I never got to see them
After my mom passed away the only opportunity I get to watch owls is the barn owl nest box cams.
What a little cutie all curled up in a hat.
My kids had a storybook about a kitten sleeping in a hat. Seeing Sassy in her hat brings back memories of the many times we read that story.
Happy Father’s Day to all.
–Sassy definately ain’t no sissy–
She’s a real beauty. And w/six toes
**the better to climb with**
Happy Father’s Day to all you Men out there. Hope your day, afternoon, evening is wonderful!
Especially you Kittenmaster
Hello to all you TDKr’s,new, regulars,& lurkers
What a cutie! I have two calicos at home in California, and I miss them like crazy!
–Megan–
Where abouts in California, may I ask?
Eureka, about two hours south of the Oregon border. I’m in Estes Park, Colorado, right now, and I miss my kitties to death
In addition to the two calicos I also have a gray-and-white cat named Dorian (who I call Baby) who sleeps on my bed, and a bratty little tuxedo kitten named Scooter, aka Poot. I miss all my little fur babies like crazy
Wonderful Estes Park. We have the O’Rourke family reunion there every 5 years. Just beautiful. Thanks for bringing back the memory this morning. Are you on staff or vacation?
I’m living here for the summer, and maybe longer, if I haven’t annoyed my aunt too much. I work in a little jewelry/art gallery called the Omnibus, by the waterwheel.
For anyone who hasn’t seen this amazing display of tallent

Just got the new Josh Groban CD and it is fantastic
Intuition, I am so glad you posted that clip! This guy was awesome! I love all music and I would definitely buy his cd if he ever makes on
