What a great window for her to watch the outside world through!

Just curious (to anyone out there)…when you get a kitten at a shelter, how can you choose just one? Or do they end up picking you? I don’t know if I could choose between all those little cute faces!

It’s so hard! Whenever I’ve gotten one from a shelter I could never choose; I’d end up with the one that was most friendly and seemed to want to go home with me. So they kind of chose me. :-P

I completely agree with Livewire’s kitten. I let the kitty pick me, and one always does. It is unbelievably hard to see all the wonderful cats and kittens at a shelter and know that most of them don’t stand a chance.

I am thankful that 5 of my current 6 are under 2. I don’t want to have to go through shelter visiting any time soon. Actually, only 1 of the 5 came from the shelter. The others were stray kittens that either showed up on my doorstep or the doorstep of a friend. People know a soft-hearted (headed?) chump when they see one!

It’s funny because the first time we went to the shelter we wanted a kitten and at the time they only had one but he was beautiful so we got him..then the second time I had a kitten in my hands holding it and out of nowhere when I was walking past my second kittens cage he jumped onto the cage and grabbed my shorts so we took him…he’s a freaking monkey…climbs door jambs, plays fetch, cuddles…best cat ever.

Long story short: they pick you.

Very pretty kitty! Cute pose, too. I think most cats are naturally photogenic.

I know you all think he is a troll and if I am wrong I am really sorry but I think this guy is hysterical– a first class wit.
I think that the fact that it doesn’t make sense is what
makes the remark so darned funny. I took a literature course eons ago and one of the things I remember was a discussion about humor.

One of the kinds of humor is the pairing of incongruous /unexpected things (Gad, I hope I spelled that right. it looks awful) Sort of like a wolf in sheep’s clothing isn’t particularly funny but a sheep in wolf’s clothing is. (Supposedly)

Well, it isn’t funny to call your neighbor a racist but it is funny (i think) to attribute that quality to a kitten. It is unexpected and preposterous.

I think this is the same guy who wrote about a sleeping kitten whose cuteness we were all ecstatic over, that he had seen better sleepers. Now that is hilarious. There is no good, better, best sleeping.

OK mister funny anonymous, you better not let me down. Live up to my expectations and be funny or I am going to go out troll slaying.

I don’t think he’s a troll…I think that he’s irrational and strange. I get the irony, but it still doesn’t make sense.

Daphne’s Mom is right. It’s so dopey, it’s funny. But how do we even know this is a guy? Could be a gal??? I cracked up when I read the entry, then read the responses after it, because (s)he was taken so seriously…it’s not supposed to make sense, that’s their point…Don’t disappoint us Anonymous! Or ferrcrissakes, submit a kitty pic………

Oh yeah, I love all these kitties…bless all of you foster parents!

Ya know, it must really stink to be you. See if you can get your mommy to take you to a head shrinker, and soon.
