Buff, Li’l Red, and Mimi
Location: Ashland, Oregon, USA

Buff, Li’l Red and Mimi were three of my five foster kittens last winter. When they arrived at my house, Mimi, the tortie, meowed indignantly when I opened the carrier, and continued to be the Spokeskitty for the group, letting me know in no uncertain terms that they had needs which they expected me to fulfill! Li’l Red (female, dark orange) and Mimi the tortie were tiny and needed lots of food and loving bonding. Buff (male) and Mimi were adopted together to the same home, and Li’l Red to another, and the other two brothers, who were larger, were adopted together. This picture was taken by Christine Sears at the Jackson Co. Animal Shelter after I brought them back to be adopted out. They were eight or nine weeks old. It broke my heart to see them go. But I’m glad they have homes and that some got to stay together.

POUNCE!!
I want them all!!
Pounce, Pounce, Pounce
Bless you for fostering these beautiful babies, I’m sure it was very hard to let them go!!
Look at those adorable faces! Who wouldn’t want that trio!!
wow, what a great looking trio! Hard to believe they’re all sibs, given the color variety. For some reason, this photo makes me think of sherbet. Yum!
Awwwww!!! How cute! I am so happy they all got good homes.
I couldn’t resist any of them! so pretty, love little Mimi peeking over the edge of the box like that. Thank you for being so kind taking them in, and being so brave to giving them up to their forever homes. People who foster animals RULE!!!!
just a basket full of love!! OMG are they beautiful and so precious. I am glad they have a furever home! I don’t think I could give them up!!
Worth the wait!
A Creamsicle a Marmalade and a Shadow with a marmalade streak on the nosie!!! How precious I wish I could have the entire family. I am so happy to hear some of them stayed together. You must have taken very good foster care of them, I would be heartbroken to see them leave too.
Thanks! I wanted them all, too! They were little characters.
Wish I had a good picture of the two others in the litter–they were bigger, shaggier, one black and one gray. I didn’t bond with them as much. They looked like they had a different father and were older. I understand that can happen–one male can impregnate a female at the beginning of her cycle, and another at the end, so some are more mature and look different from the others. The two bigger kittens not only beat up these 3 a lot, but ate the food faster. I took the bigger 2 to be adopted out first, and kept these 3 another week so that they’d be strong and healthy.
I have not fostered more kittens yet. I’m almost ready, though–I can finally look at this picture of them without wanting to cry!
Awww!!! I wouldn’t want to let go of them either, they’re so cute and thanks for sharing their story. Glad they all have furrever homes.
Three beauties. I so totally agree with all the great things said about people who foster these sweet animals. I have a friend who started fostering when she was a teenager and a more beautiful person I have never met. Special blessings from heaven for people who take so much time to save and raise these animals and then they have to give part of themselves away when they are adopted out. Hugs and kisses to the kitties and the humans who take care of them.
fkm, I could not have said it any better…you took the words right out of my mouth !
An adorable trio! I’d have a hard time giving them up.
A tisket, a tasket, a basketful of love!
Three for the price of one–that makes up for yesterday.
Such a rarity–a red female. Bless you for fostering and seeing that they got good homes.
SQUEEEAL! These are too precious - I want to give them a group hug!
What picture perfect babies. Thank you for being there for these darlings.
3 times the pounce
My Tortie is also the spokes cat in my home lol.
Marmalade females are cool too. My friend has a marmalade female.
Chey
thanx for fostering those babys!!
Oh my sis will really love this pic as she goes crazy for kittens.
I know how it feels to give your kitten that u brought up away!
Not a nice feeling at all.
very very cute.
OK Kittenmaster, for these gorgeous three we forgive you the 24 hour wait!!
I thought I was too early for yesterday’s kit of the day.
Imagine that!
These three do make up for a slip of the kit.
So glad they are all in furever homes.
Three cheers for foster moms and dads the world over!
SOOOOOO CUTE
3 sweet cuties! I just want to scoop all 3 of them up and hug them. I swear, I don’t know how the foster people can do it. I would be too attached to let the kitties go. I am glad they found good homes.
All in the family FUZZ
Return of the FUZZ
Awww….glad they found homes, too! I loved your description… my Mr. Howdy is very vocal - he never lets me forget that he is at the tip top of my priority list - especially early in the morning when he craves his canned food.
Oh they are all so precious. Mimi would would never have parted from me. She’s far too beautiful. What a bundle of precious fur.
