This is Winnie’s mum — I am so proud to see her on this website. She is just as lovely at 14lbs and 2.5 yrs old.
Her sister Agatha (Aggie Bear) is actually the prettier cat (and she knows it!!!).

Don’t you people understand that this person was pointing out how DANGEROUS it is to put a kitten in a wine glass? Yes it makes for good photos but in reality the poor little thing is probably quite frightened.

STop putting your helpless cats precariously into arbitrary objects just because you think it’s cute. A) It’s dangerous B) it’s distressing for the cat to be put into objects like she’s some sort of toy to be placed in wine glasses and teapots and microwave ovens just for your amusement, and C) If your kitty ever gets hurt in her lifetime, I know who to blame. My vengence will not be pretty, nor cute, but to me, it will be sweet.
I have to agree with anonymous on this one. The kitten is adorable, the situation is not. Think about it a little. Please.
I have to agree with Lindsay, above. Think about it: since SOMEbody is taking a picture, it would seem that the kitten is under close supervision. What’s the worst? The kitten launches (as she’s about to do), the glass falls and breaks behind her. Kitty Mom swoops in and grabs the kitten. She checks the kitten, secures her (or takes her to the vet, if needed) and cleans up the glass. End of story. Chances are Winnie would be hurt worse chasing after a bee. Kittens explore; that’s their charm. You put away the dangerous stuff and do your best. Relax!
Agreed Gwyndolyn. Kittens do far more exploring than we can ever imagine. And we’re not always awake to see it, so a lot worse can happen than this picture, period. Enough said, now let’s just enjoy this adorable picture.
