I’ve always been curious about the cats with the extra toes. I love that “big paw” look. My neighbor’s cat had paws like these and once I saw it pick up a piece of food with it’s paw and put it in its mouth. I wonder if other extra-toe cats do this?
With a kitten like that around it would be really hard to get anything done. Elmer would be to distracting. I wouldn’t be able to concentrate on anything but him.

I read (somewhere) that the extra toes are a result of inbreeding.
Cats with extra toes are called Polydactyls and it is tradition to name them with names starting with the letter “P”. They are very special cats and you really have to be careful as their extra toes make their paws able to work almost like a human’s hand.
They can open all kind of things other cats can’t.

holy cow that kitten is so amazingly sweet and pretty, you can tell she will be an awsome explorer some day. That could mean trouble for the owner, but also some really awesome stories. I love how cats are such adventurers. I want to take my cat to the amazon with me some day

A cat with extra claws is very special. We have one and it’s a big part of his personality. Although is is an accomplished hunter with the extra skewers, he is very loving and gentle, holding on to us with those hands (with opposible thumbs, they look like hands, & 3 claws each in just the thumbs!).
