Hey, what happened to the nice comment I made earlier about this cutie? I know there was another “anonymous” nasty comment and reply that are now missing from above. However, that wasn’t me. I agree that this is no place for tacky, distasteful comments. I submit kitty comments frequently and they are always positive and complimentary. I LOVE cats and would never come to a site to be rude to anyone. Whoever that was deserves to be deleted from the above, but, please, it wasn’t me! I’m sorry that you removed my original comment.
Very VERY (*VERY*) cute!!! However, it took me about 5 minutes to realize that it was a person she was sitting on, I guess I was to preoccupied by the adorable fuzziness!
Oh my. You are right. I was so focused on the kitten that I didn’t see the person that she’s sitting on. That’s too funny! I guess I know where my priorities are!
Thanks for all the kind comments about Arien. As of today she has 2 little sisters, Squiggles and Bramble! They are both stripey like her, Bramble has patches.
WHOEVER THE OWNER IS SHOULD KNOW THAT THE VERY LOOSE FLEA COLLAR IS A BAD IDEA FOR TWO REASONS: (1) when kittens are this young, the toxins from a flea collar can be deadly. just keep them inside, flea comb them, make sure you use non-toxic products to rid house of fleas, if there are any. (2) When the kitty gets older, OK to wear a collar, but don’t let it be so loose - should only allow 2 fingers to fit under the collar. When it’s this loose, the kitten can get caught on something a choke to death.
It doesn’t look like a flea collar, because it looks to have a bell on it. However, I agree that collars should be fitted properly. I didn’t know that flea collars were bad, but it seems to make sense that the chemicals could be harmful to a little creature. I wonder if any studies have been done?
I don’t know about formal studies, but I had a very young kitten who wore a flea collar for only a few hours until it started acting *deaf* ! When I removed the collar from her, her hearing seemed to return to normal, but she was really acting as if she did not hear me at all; I know cats are famous for ignoring their humans at times, but this seemed different and scary.
Thanks for the advice - Arien is much older now and has a collar that fits her. I’m sad to report that her eldest kitten, my little squiggles, died today. Arien was a lot more practical anbout it than we were - she wasn’t distressed at all. We humans were devastated though. We’ve taken Arien and her remaining kitten to the vet and he says they are both fine. They have bonded and are getting on well.
what happened to the kitten that passed? My cat got out of the house recently and never came back! I want a mitted ragdoll kitten they are so adorable and so is your kitten!
She looks exactly like my dear boy Bennie, who is now 5 months old and into EVERYTHING, seriously lol. I hope she brings as much joy to all her people as Bennie does to me.
