Good I got in here first this morning ! Good day to the Kittenmaster and all TDK’ers, its only 7:09 am here in Beaverton Oregon. Its a nice day here the sun is supposed to be shining later today but right now it is overcast.
Hot oatmeal with Brown sugar and Butter is all I can provide at this time of the morning, but that is a good hearty, healthy, stick to your ribs type of breakfast.
Have a Great purrfilled day all of you…
Tamaki is an adorable little orangie kitten HOpe he brings you years of purrs and head bonks.
my Rocky loves oatmeal, begs for his own dish when I make it in the morning. havent made any for a while general only make it in colder wheather. But may need to make some to help Rocky gain weight after his sickness in june
We don’t eat grits here in the Pacific Northwest (I live in Oregon too), but my husband is from Philadelphia and I have now acquired a taste for them. I also enjoy (collard) greens, red beans and rice, scrapple…….mmmmmmmmmmm!
It may be 11 pm right now but all I can say is YUMMMMMMM scrapple….I could really go for scrapple and eggs and a nice big fat biscut right now…..but I’ll settle for this little cutie of an orangie instead…hmmm…marmalade for the biscut…that’s probably why I love the orange babies…reminds me of something sweet…
Hot oatmeal is oat porridge, isn’t it??? Actually I like it a lot. A butter eye and little sugar or berries on it - a quick, healthy and tasty winter breakfast.
A friend attended a party. She was told bring a gag gift labeled for male or female. She got a verynice soft pair of gloves. What’s the gag, she asked? The man replied, Ever see the little black grits in the package? That’s because the gritpickers weren’t wearing their soft gritpicking gloves and bruised them. Those are gritpicking gloves!
Hey Greycat, have you always lived in Beaverton, OR? I have applied for a job that will be in Hillsboro, OR and am wondering what it would be like to move up there. Naturally I have to wait till a job offer comes along and more than likely will have to wait on the idea of moving up to Oregon. I am considering the move as an eventual idea as California is becoming to full with the “me” types. People are not considerate of each other anymore and it is getting too crowded here in the Bay Area. I probably wouldn’t move for a year but it is an idea.

Grey, it is true, you can never have enough orangies….I have two myself and they are so different from the other two..orange fuzzbutts and grey tabbies are my fav’s…(if I was forced to choose, lol)
I hope all is well for everyone and if not, my thoughts and prayers go out to my TDK family.
The sun is shining brightly in Central Florida and TigerButt has learned to stand on his back legs looking like a prairie dog (or would that be a prairie cat?) Anyways love to all.
How about TigerButt the Meercat. Whenever one of mine do that my son always says they look like meercats.
Wishing all a good Sunday. Cloudy here and had numbers of storms come through since last evening. Not complaining, we really needed rain. I just don’t like the lightning strikes when they are close by.
Friday night I started letting the kittens out of the nursery for an hour. Again this morning. Chester Bean and Dusty are the brave ones and take over, even chase the big guys. They just love all the extra running and jumping room. PJ and LeiLani have only ventured into the hallway and scamper back to the nursery as soon as they see or hear any thing new. What fun for the babies, but a huge adjustment for the (15) three, two and one year olds and 18 year old grump Zasha.
If Amelia weren’t so round I might say meerkat, but she has to sit on her undercarriage so prairie dog she’ll stay.
Lightening alarms me, too, Elene. Our baby has taken to running and skidding down the hall. Hubby just stands there laughing all day. Some major kitten spoilage going down here.
Hey Teri, how about sharing some of that sunshine?
The only problem is that no cat likes the sound “meer” anywhere next to “cat,” because that almost implies that we’re saying they’re “mere cats,” while every cat knows that it’s “mere humans” who are here to do their bidding!
hee hee what a pretty little ginger beastie! I like the “ok, now what?” look - I suspect this one does EXACTLY as he pleases.
how about crepes? Banana and nutella?
Sounds wonderful! I made crepes for my 7-yeaf-old niece yesterday. She loved them. I actually looked for nutella at the store but didn’t find it. We will try banana and nutella next time.
I hope you get the chance to give it a whirl. They are so, well, decadent, is the best word to describe them I guess! oh, and if you have it, spoon a little marscapone and sprinkle with cocoa once you roll them up
sadly, I am. Kitties make me sneeze, and while I would take all the meds to have one at home, right now I don’t have the space. Also, my fiancee is reluctant to have pets because he had a Siamese cat growing up and when she died he was broken hearted, and he doesn’t want to go through that again. I hope when we move to a bigger place, I’ll be able to say, “gee, hon, this place could use a cat!”
I hope that someday your fiancee agrees with you on having a cat. It is the one difficult part of being a cat owner, and that is knowing that you are likely to outlive your kitties. For me, though, that painful sadness is more than outweighed by the affection and love they give us.
I can understand not wanting to go through the heartbreak of a beloved pet’s death, but is it really better to deny them a chance to be a part of one’s life? He must have loved his Siamese cat so very much; that’s why it hurt so when she died, the depth of his pain was proportionate to his love.
I hope he can someday find it in his heart to share his love with another deserving cat or two. I don’t think he’d regret it.
Love it. Our first orangey was an orphan at two weeks and we bottle fed him. He grew up big and strong and amazed everyone. All of our friends and family mourned this wonderful cat. He was one of the first victims of feline leukemia before vaccines were even a dream on the horizon.
Skeeter is so sweet, what a touching story. I’m glad he survived.
Did you see the pet screensavers they had advertised? They had cats and dogs who lick your computer screen! how cute.
Blimey, and I thought I might be first…morning stateside, afternoon UK, and hello to anywhere else in the world. My four are enjoying a SECOND consecutive day of sunshine, and good weather is given out for the next THREE days - honestly, anyone would think it’s summer…
Tamaki is very cute, but there is defiitely a hint of devil in those eyes!
Hi MCW - I still have tears in my eyes after reading your poem that you posted yesterday. It just expressed the love that we all feel for our kitties so beautifully. Thank you for sharing.
Hi Kitten Whisperer & MCW - Thanks for asking about Tikka. She is the same. It is very weird. She seems perfectly fine except for when she has these little spells. I made my hubby take her to the vet again on Saturday morning after seeing Dee’s story about her friend’s cat that swallowed the needle. The vet checked again very thoroughly and couldn’t see anything. So for now, I guess it is just wait and see. It is very frustrating and it is a bit worrying. I hate to think that there is anything at all wrong with her and I just want to help her. But I don’t know what more I can do. At least she seems to be OK most of the time - it is just those few occasions where something is obviously bothering her for a few minutes.
Happy Sunday all. What a sweet looking baby ginger fuzz butt. After seeing all these gingers just might have to add one to the family. That’s of course after I discuss it with Milton, Tilt the Deaf, Jazz and Georgine Pinky Toes.
I love your babies names. First time I’ve laughed in several days. Thanks.
*Update on my Julie*
She’s still hanging in there. For what reason,I’m not sure. I got 1 ml. of baby food down her this morning & alittle water to wash it down. I’m keeping her comfortable until I can get her into the vet tomorrow.
Good morning TDKers…new & regulars
Hi Alex
G’Day Kittenmaster
I had an episode earlier today & thought I’d be taking 2 cats to the vet.
My mama Runt was frollicking around while I was in town w/her kittens at Petsmart trying to get them adopted. My ol man said she was rolling around on the ground. You know how kitties like to get the people smells off them. Next time he sees her,her face on one side was all swollen up. Apparently she went & got stung by a wasp. I sat down on the rocking chair on our porch & put her on her back into the bend of my arm. She just laid back like a baby going to sleep & purred & sang to me while I held a cold compress on her face & neck. It didn’t bother her one bit. She’s just an adorable little love bug.
Julie is taking in alot more water on her own than the usual. My only problem is that she is so dehydrated,it is not going thru her. She hasn’t gone potty since yesterday morning. I hope the vet’s office is open tomorrow because I can’t watch her go thru this much longer.
I’m crossing my fingers & praying. With the moon being full right now,it worries me. Full moons tend to bring on bad luck.
Take care
Things will unfold as they are meant to, Susie. I hope you find some rest tonight and get the help Julie needs from her vet. Purrs and prayers coming to you.
Did you get the pics I sent you of Prettygirls 2 kittens we rescued from the electrical pedestal? If you did, aren’t they adorable? It was worth the 4 wasp stings I got getting them out of there. They’re both getting fat & sassy & are also now w/the last kitten of the litter (orangie kitten). The gray one I named Misty Blue because of her color. Her black brother I named Scorpio because when he runs, his tail looks just like a scorpion stinger. And the Orangie,my ol man named him Rusty. I thought you would enjoy seeing them.
Pounce?
very pretty - love those smokey colored eyes!
G’morning all….another cute orangie….be still my heart….
How absolutely, puffily sweet! Wouldn’t you like a necklace of those to keep around your neck? Snuggle with soft fur and hear purrs all day long.
Good Sunday morning all, (good afternoon, Kittenmaster). Best of the day to everyone, prayers to those in need and love to each and ever one of you!
really are there any ugly orangies?
You can never have too many orange stripey cats!
*sniff* I’ve never had one! I feel so deprived!
JCL
Come on — cheer up Miu! It’s never to late!
I never had a million dollars, but I am not going to let that — *sniff* — bother me — *sniff* — uh — I got go now. *sniff* *sniff*
Believe it or not I have never had a million dollars either… or a million Euros come to mention it…

How is Rocky doing? I know he really had you scared.
Rocky is recovering nicely, pretty much back to his old self just working on putting weight back on him. He is gaining weight, but slowly
If you look further down, you’ll seee I added to today’s brunch menu. Do Pacific Northwesterners eat grits?
We don’t eat grits here in the Pacific Northwest (I live in Oregon too), but my husband is from Philadelphia and I have now acquired a taste for them. I also enjoy (collard) greens, red beans and rice, scrapple…….mmmmmmmmmmm!

I’m in California, soon moving to Washington. One daughter and I eat grits (comes from my dad from Louisiana)
I too have never had an orangie but have know a few. My in-law’s Topaz was a great cat, very loving to all.
JCL
Hi, Kitties4deb! Where in Louisiana your is dad from?
And by the way, not all people from Louisiana eat grits — okay — I admit it — I had some a couple nights ago at the Pitiful Grill.
GOD Bless You!
– The CatWrangler from Louisiana
JCL
Wow — it’s late! That second sentence should read: “Where in Louisiana is your dad from?”
That’s a result of too many grits, too late at night!

Tamaki is so cute and fluffy!
How about some waffles, OJ, apple cider and maybe some ham and cheese omelets for the sharing circle?
Looks like this is my next stop.
A wonderful smell - can’t wait to taste them. *drooling on the plate*
If you look further down you’ll see I have some goodies for the brunch table.
Good morning TDK family (afternoon KM!!!:) )
I hope all is well for everyone and if not, my thoughts and prayers go out to my TDK family.

One of mine reminds me of a Meerkat, she’s so cute. This is a cute orange baby today.

Must. Go. To. Store. Now. Eating one of these could be fatal!
Oh no! You made me hungry again!
Good Sunday Morning, TDK-ers..
What a cutie-bug orangie…
Purrs and hugs to you …
I’ll bring the hazelnut coffee…
BTW, Catless, are you really catless? I sure hope not.
sadly, I am. Kitties make me sneeze, and while I would take all the meds to have one at home, right now I don’t have the space. I lost my siamese in March of this year. It has taken 4 kittens to replace her, she left such a big hole in my heart.
I’m another one with allergies–too serious to have a cat unless there’s a major breakthrough–so I say that ALL cats are mine, in a virtual sense.
I hope that someday your fiancee agrees with you on having a cat. It is the one difficult part of being a cat owner, and that is knowing that you are likely to outlive your kitties. For me, though, that painful sadness is more than outweighed by the affection and love they give us.

Hi, Catless in T. O.
Just sweetly tell your fiancee, “Gee, hon — a cat REALLY does make a house a HOME!”
Good luck, Catless. If he doesn’t buy that — then call Dr. Phil!
After that — you’re on your own!
GOD Bless YOU!
– The CatWrangler from Louisiana
Thanks very much - ha, I’ll keep Dr Phil’s # on my speed dial….
wonderful ginger weekend, overcast and gray here with some light showers good weekend to relax with the kitties and watch some tv
Fellow TDK friends-take a look at http://www.catoftheday.com today and see the heartwarming rescue story of another little orangie.
Skeeter’s story touches the heart!
What a wonderful and beautiful little kitty.
Love it. Our first orangey was an orphan at two weeks and we bottle fed him. He grew up big and strong and amazed everyone. All of our friends and family mourned this wonderful cat. He was one of the first victims of feline leukemia before vaccines were even a dream on the horizon.
