Lucy, the four-week-old runt of a litter, was taken from a manufacturing facility and fostered by me for four weeks until she could go to live with her real brother and new mommy. She was such a dear to raise!

What is it with all these adorable black kittens lately? Is some sort of super secret black cat factory unloading unsold inventory or something? Lots of black kittens, all extremely cute.
More people need to foster kittens. Good for you! (she’s adorable by the way, you probably paved the way for an amazing life she never would have known!)
Thanks for the comment on paving a way of life she would’ve never have known. I often thought of that as she played for a few hours and then slept hard for a few more.

LOL, very funny anonymous. That would be funny, they all come out black, then some machine stamps a different white mark on each one to make them different…

Ok, Is it just me, or are there WAY too many “Anonymous” for them to be anonymous anymore? Come on people! Pick a name… It’s not hard. Bob. Jane Doe. Fuzzy. WHO CARES!!! But it gets hard trying to distinguish you all!!!!!!!!!!! What are you all in some kind of “kitty-protection” program?!?!? We’re all friends here! Give us a name!!!!!
we need to start one of those funds… We’re raisisng money for the “Give a Blogger a Name” fund… These poor people have no name to post. Can you find it in your heart to donate? Only 5.3 cents a day… Help these bloggers be something *more* than just “anonymous”…..

Funny about the black cat factory. We used to think there was one in our neighborhood–we had a whole bunch of little black strays. I guess folks around here are superstitious, so they dump black cats. We adopted four of them. One died, sadly, of heartworm, but the other three are still running around the house, including our own little Lucy. (Her full name is Lucinda Louise Lusitania Lucille).
This one’s a sweetie–perfect name for a little black kitty.
Cute Baby!! My second black kitten was in a box at the grocery store–four weeks old and abandoned. She’s now almost 5 years old, and weighs 5 lbs. Serious Brat-Fuzz.
so much cuteness! my sister’s boy was also the runt of his litter, his mama was a stray who gave birth in my parent’s garage, and, coincidentally, his name is Lucifer, Luci for short…
Nancy, my momma taught me to share! We felt that since we already had two cats of our own and her brother’s parents only had one (him), that she would be able to hold her own after four weeks with having had some good ‘raslin training from my girl cat to hold her own with her bigger brother. They get along beautifully and her new mommy is so very happy with her.
She looks just like my “Gremlin”, who had our love & hearts for 18 years …… until three months ago when I had to make a hard decision to have her euthanized. gremlin was also from a big litter of five and was the smallest … but her personality and heart was as big as anything imaginable. I continue to ’see’ her and continue to miss her so badly.
