Goldie

GoldieWhen my family lost our 18-year old pal Max (who must have been a person reincarnated as a cat) we were too sad to get another. Less than a year later, however, my cousins called and said, “We found an abandoned kitten - do you want her?” I couldn’t let her go to the shelter so I took her, sight unseen. She’s a calico cutie who must be part dog (she fetches), part duck (likes water), part squirrel (see above) and part beaver (she chews on wood). This picture is when she was about 5 months old and thought she could catch the birds in the lilac bush. She also stands on her hind legs and looks into the birdbath.

She’s a cutie. Good for you for giving her a home. You can never “replace” a lost kitty friend. Only add to a family whose members may not ever meet on this earth.

That is an adorable pic!

My cat, Caliope, likes water too, and she will sit up and beg, I’ll bet you could get Goldie to do it she seems to be that kind of cat.

Have fun with her.

*HANG-TEN-FUZZ*

My little kitten (4-months old) Kiara likes to climb too! She climbs up the pull out drawers in my kitchen, up the side of the couch and also up my pant leg to see what she can’t see. She also sits on her hind legs to look out the window and looks like a praire dog popping out of its hole.

Goldie looks like a fun kitty with her own agenda.

I hope you have many fun years together. And Goldie…”the skys the limit for you girl!”

She’s a doll! Funny how cats finds “cat people”, isn’t it? Just when you think you could never have another, there you are with a little furball running the house.

Thanks - We keep her indoors but will allow her outside on a leash (yes, it gets weird looks from people) for a bit of fresh air. She’s very funny - loves sitting in the window and chattering at birds, pulling scrubbies out of the sink holder and tossing them in the air, leaping up to sit on the top of the fridge and knocking off my magnets. She’s just started losing some of her “kittenish” craziness and will actually allow me to pet her for a few minutes.

2006-03-02 08:49:39

I think thats great! We also have a multi-species cat. Gheeri coos like a pigeon instead of purring, when we pet her, she baas like a lamb, when we play, she kicks just like a kangaroo, and she follows us and comes when shes called like a dog. We should get our cats together, we’d have a zoo! Gheeri does not climg, though, she’s too much of a princess for that. Heck, she can barely jump! I have never seen a cat that only jumps 3 or 4 feet off the ground - no more than that - but Bagheera does just that… I hope you have many more years with your *daredevil FUZZ* I sure I hope I have many more with mine!

I thought I read on here that this little kitty was dead. I don’t know about you, but that’s one active deceased kitty, because it sure does look like the one in the upper right hand corner. I just love how you let your cat outside to play and persue its natural instincts to hunt and stalk its prey. You must keep an eye on them though until they have learned their territory and you can trust them to run home in emergencies.

Sounds like MY girls LOL
They remind me off birds because they love to sit in the trees and drink from the birdbath: clean water is readily available inside and out in bowls.
They chew PINECONES of all things! And wood too. Blows my mind. They TEAR across the yeard. It’s like watching cheetahs chasing down the last antelope in the world! LOL

She’s beautiful!!! So, full of life… gotta luv that!!!

Reminds me of my “Lilly”… she was a tabby, and mischevious… oh, my goodness… She used to run wide open across the screened-in porch and climb the wall, half-way, then, hanging onto the screen, turn around to see if I was going to do something about it… or not?

Looks like you’ve got lots and lots of happy days in store with this little lady… ENJOY.
